In the world of hi-tech and minimalism architecture these are true gems which make me feel I'm not the only one. Of course the owners got very good taste. Just look how the plants in pots match with the general style. The bright colours just play the palette. That's truly a pleasure.

my parents built a 4000 sqf house with a dedicated pool table room, a full size walk in bar, a 3 car garage and a large swimming pool. 4 bedrooms all ensuite in the spanish style for $ 61,000 in 1971. we were middle class and my mother did not work. we were common folk in the suburbs of los angeles. what happened? why is this now a multi millionaire lifestyle?

That $61k in today's money is equivalent to roughly $500k. There are many places in the country, maybe not LA, where you can get a similar house for $500k

Because it is a classic, elegant but the same time cosy and "simple" with all that nature around and beautiful Orange tiles which makes people forget about the chaos and decadence in the cities. This style is ambivalent peaceful & chic. I own a similar home that built some years ago😊 regards from México.

Boomer generation benefited immensely from post war spoils and the need to populate the US rapidly. They did their job. To this day settling Europeans comfortably is in place in the US continues. Ukrainians for example are settling comfortably in the US while they show the brown immigrants in the media. Now the new crop of people along with immigrants from the so called third world country are being exploited with heavy surveillance. Consider yourself lucky to have that inheritance. Many people are in far worse condition. Absolutely hopeless for many.

Thanks for this. If we observe, 90% beauty is due to location/nature while 10% in house. No matter how much we develop, the simplicity & natural beauty can't be beaten by so called modern concrete highrise jungle!

Справа в тому, що професійний дизайнер чи архітектор вже бачив безліч і робив також немало подібних проектів, тому легко побачить деталі, яких не буде в реальному світі. Але найдивнішим виглядає середземноморська архітектура в азійських тропіках:) розберіться з географією, тоді все стане на місця. Але навіть і це не має великого значення саме тут.
