That’s an awesome bike, yeah the cb300 is great for running around town, just wouldn’t recommend it if you need to be doing 55mph+ for more than a few miles

I had the same bike couple of years ago and for some reason sold it. Picking up the same new bike tomorrow! But it’s a second bike. Primary bike is a triumph speed twin. So I think I have an excellent combination of bikes. I am up in Louisville Kentucky.

Had the same problem with the headlight on my 2019 cb300r. It would do it more when it got warm. Usually first thing in the morning 5 mile ride to work it was fine but the ride home in afternoon it would do it. I bought a new headlight (not cheap) $300 almost, but it fixed the issue. No problems since.

Have the same bike. Purchased in Sept as well. Haven't observed any headlight flickering issues. Only issue I have observed in my case is occasionally getting stuck in gear while downshifting when coming to a stop. Happens randomly. Not sure why that is.

What’s the link for the bracket mounting your GoPro to your helm?
will this bike sit comfortably at 70mph on motorway..? and nip up to 80mph for overtakes..? i really do not drive fast nowdays... and am considering downsizing...
@AussieAJK Жыл бұрын
It really struggles to hit 80mph, a fair amount of vibration at 70. Not really meant for cruising but it will do it, if you plan on cruising at that speed I’d check out the cb500

Thinking about getting the bar end mirrors for my cb300r. What kind did you get and were they hard to install? Thank you and great video!
@AussieAJK3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it, I got them on eBay about $17 I’ll put the link for them in the description. The process is simple but one was a complete bugger getting out and the other was easy. Once you remove the factory bar end you have to use 2 flathead screw drivers and push down on the 2 tabs and pull the handle bar weight out.
@Sam_problemz3 жыл бұрын
@@AussieAJK yea there is no to way handle bar get out. I give up to attach end mirriors becouse of im not sure about when i get out these weighted bars. Do you have any solution or aproach for this, , mean keep bar wiegts..

I appreciate your comment about too many moto vloggers but, I'm thinking more "philosophy" of motorcycle(s) is needed. I see a few attempts at motorcycle philosophy, but, usually it's just ego "guy-dude" BS. But, this aspect of the smaller bike. The argument is, it's more fun to have a small cc bike and drive it to it's limits. Than a 150+ HP and never get out of 2nd gear or even use the top 80hp(staying within legal speeds) ;) ha ha "Philosophy of Motorcycles"might be a new channel to watch for ;) ....I bought a Monkey and have regrets but, it's still a blast and I'm struggling with older age and health anyway. So, my feelings have been all over the place but, mostly good feelings. I'm finding the Monkey is probably the only thing I can handle. So, I'm stuck with small cc due to the weight of these new bikes and poor health has me weaker. So, thanks for sharing all your feelings and the test drive. I think I'm going to wait and work on getting in better shape and HOPE Honda really does release a CL500 Scrambler light weight retro bike(rumor). Or the CB500(r) (honda rumor release too) I need to stay near 400lbs and not 500+lbs, thanks again

I’m glad you liked it, I didn’t put a lot of effort into but will try to make more videos like that. Since making that one I’ve moved and bought a z125 but you can see by my most recent video, it didn’t go well. I’m hoping to get another bike like a small dual sport soon and making videos of the Reno area. Philosophy of motorcycles is an awesome idea! I’d like to expanded to philosophy of hobbies but we will see. I appreciate the ideas and I hope you’re able to to still enjoy your monkey, small bikes are fun and hope your health never has to hold you back

I'm still deciding if to get a CB or a rebel for my daily freeway commute. I'm a first time rider and want to keep it for a long time (my main goal is to get 4x4 body on frame rig, so need to save)
@AussieAJK2 жыл бұрын
If you have a commute that involves going 55+ mph for more than a couple miles I’d say get a rebel or cb 500, if not just get whichever you like the looks of more. I sat on a rebel at a dealer before getting the cb and didn’t care for it.

I'd take the bike to an Auto Electrician and send the bill to Honda. You can't stuff around with these things, it's a safety issue. The bike is unroadworthy, you couldn't sell it in this condition. Put a top box on the back and use it as a shopping, utility bike. Great for filtering thru traffic. Always find a parking spot.
