As part of the Honda CB350 series of motorcycle (CB350 / CL350 Scrambler / SL350) routine tune-up maintenance, the engine valve clearance, as well as the slack in the cam chain, must be adjusted. This adjustment needs to happen every 1500 miles (2400 Kilometers), along with an oil change and setting the ignition timing. In this video we explain the reference marks on the rotor, show the adjustment process for the cam chain and perform the valve or rocker arm clearance adjustment on this CB350 engine. We also introduce what we call the "overshoot method" of setting valves by using a feeler gauge that is 0.001" larger than the factory specifications to ensure ample clearance (better to be a tad loose than tight). The same process is done for all 4 engine valves.
