This has to be the fastest run I've seen on KZfaq on open road in the mountains here. You guys are killing it!

All the new riders initially stay on the Isle Of Man for days if not weeks before any competitive riding and they drive or ride around the course at low speed heaps of times just to understand where the bends are & where the spots to be cautious are. Agostini, the famous Italian rider of the 60's and 70's described how he drove 25 or 30 laps in a van. These days there are numerous Duke TT on-board videos of expert riders such as John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop, Bruce Anstey. They also are mentored by experienced Isle Of Man riders and a new comer's program. In their initial practice sessions they ride with course marshals who show them the course at near racing speed and also observe them for competence. All riders must have an ACU licence and may even be highly successful racers on closed circuits elsewhere. During the races new riders compete for the newcomer award. It oftens takes over 3 years before a fast racer can compete with the top bunch. Some riders, like New Zealander Shaun Harris, took 10 years before winning a race. Some compete for many years without even a top 10 finish, being content to race around mid pack. I have no aspirations to race competitively on the Isle Of Man but I have watched on DVD over 300 onboard laps. I am fairly confident of lapping at an average of over 110 mph but any faster than that would require risks beyond what I would want to take. It is a very dangerous and unforgiving course. The quickest lap is almost an 134 mph average. Mind boggling.

Scott Thomson thanks;) do you stay sometimes on Isle Of Man?

Your fast but if you would stop riding it like a 600 you would be much faster. 2 much changing gears.

You’re completely wrong

oneplus two not everyone has the same gear average as each other.. there is no right way
@rosemarydudley99542 жыл бұрын
You are so rude. You don't know much about engine power and what the gear changing does. Gears are sometimes better than brakes. Are you on a scooter or moped...?
