In today's video, I will show how to replace all of the rear bulbs with LasFit LED bulbs. I will be upgrading the tail lights, license plate lights, turn signal lights, parking lights, brake lights, side marker lights, reverse lights, the 3rd brake light (high mount stop light), and the interior trunk light. The new LED bulbs are noticeably brighter than the dim factory incandescent bulbs, so the upgrade is absolutely worth it!

I haven't touched one yet. I assume that they don't get any hotter than the normal bulbs would (which would burn you). No issues so far 👍👍

@@LevelUpMechanics Just installed the LEDs on my rear lights and are awesome 😎! Not too bad to install. However the LED reverse LASFIT bulb lights up red instead of White. Either way my car looks beautiful 😍 !!

That's awesome! Yeah, for the reverse lights, it should be WHITE 7443 led bulbs 💡. It's possible that amazon accidentally sent an extra set of red ones?? Either way, it should be a simple fix... or did you maybe install white led bulbs for the tail lights and red led bulbs for the reverse lights by accident? The LED bulbs really do make the tail lights pop more, that's for sure! 👊👍

@@LevelUpMechanics Whoops haha your right I accidentally put the LED bulbs in the wrong socket lol. They all work now.... Just forgot to order the Red Sidemarker LEDs haha simple fix. 1st time DIY and so many Bulbs to keep track of haha

The RED T-7443R Bulbs recommended in the description didn't prevent hyperflashing on my 06 civic they began hyperflashing within 10-30 seconds of use from a cold start. Wish they worked right cause they are bright

Yeah, when it comes to turn signals (front and rear), I am also experiencing hyper-flashing. A quick fix would be to add a resistor to the turn signal circuits... but I am trying to find another led bulb option that could eliminate this problem to begin with...

@@LevelUpMechanics yeah just not sure where I would hook up a resistor my civic has the carpet so that seems like a fire hazard if it gets as hot as I'm expecting. Doing more research saw people talk about a flasher (tridon EP34) fixes hyperflashing but that has other issues it causes.

@@LevelUpMechanics hey LasFit told me to get the amber ones even though I have a red tinted turn indicator cause of the wattage difference in the red 7443 and the amber 7440 tried them today and it works perfectly and still appears very red. hope this helps you and others having this issue.

Thank you for the update! It's good to know that the 7440 amber bulb will eliminate the hyper-flashing issue. I wonder why they don't make a dedicated "red" 7440 led bulb? 🤔 It would be nice to have that option available. I really appreciate the info you shared! 👍

Thanks! I'm sure a majority of the bulbs would be identical, but I would need to look up the info. L.E.D. bulbs definitely give a cleaner look to oem tail lights / headlights etc.

@@LevelUpMechanics yup. My plate lights (LEDs) are dying. They're 10+ years old, so they lasted me a decent amount of time. Now I have the desire to just upgrade then all. Such a huge improvement

Hello I'm curious. I want to change my rear park (including the two brake lights) on my civic 8th too. However, I'm worried that the brake light will be as bright as the park light (when both are on) and would be difficult to distinguish if I'm actually braking or not (for the driver behind me as an example. I know there's still a 3rd brake light but lets ignore it for now). I hope my question made sense

The brake lights (that are also used as parking lights) are noticeably brighter when pressing the brakes at night time. You can definitely tell a difference between the two "modes". I hope this info helps 😁

I replaced all my bulbs on my 8th gen as well. However, both side marker lights, both trunk lights and one of the blinkers has gone bad in less than six months. Wondering if you experienced anything similar using this specific brand. Thanks for the video!

So far, I've only needed to replace my 3rd brake light bulb (about one month ago). Otherwise, all of the other led bulbs have held up quite well. You may want to check Lasfit's website for any bulb warranties. 6 months for led bulbs is definitely too soon.

Great video, but would led light bulbs cause any electrical problems for the car, does it need some electric work before the installation?

LED bulbs have much lower resistance than traditional bulbs. Depending on your vehicle, this can cause your car to think that certain bulbs may be inoperative. On my Civic, the turn signal bulbs flash faster than normal, but that's about it... Adding a resistor to the turn signal circuit would resolve this issue. Cheap LED bulbs can possibly cause electrical issues. However, other than the fast turn signals, I have not experienced any serious issues with these Lasfit LED bulbs. I hope this info helps! 😁👍

Great video! A couple questions: 1, do the turn signals have built in resistors to prevent hyper flash? You only showed them with the hazards on and not one at a time. 2, I want to upgrade the front turn signals (which are amber yellow) as well, what do you recommend for those?

@@LevelUpMechanics thanks. I watched that video, once again great job editing and going into detail on the installation. Could the hyper flash possibly be due to that you have only the anti-hyper flash with built in resistors on the back and just regular LEDs on the front? If I get both front and back with built in resistors, won’t that fix the issue? I have LEDs now but they hyper flash, so I want to make sure it will work before buying $100 anti-hyper flash…

I believe you are correct in regards to the front turn signals causing the hyper-flashing. The only reason I chose regular leds in the front is because there is a clear plate inside the front turn signal lens that could possibly keep me from installing a "bigger" LED bulb with built in resistors. However, after installing the regular leds in the front, it seems like there could be just enough room to install the bigger leds with the resistors built in.

my civic has hyperflash when installed, so i switched back to the halogens. it seems like i need led resistors, which do you recommend, since i do not much about those? how would i install those?

You could try looking for plug-n-play resistors for the 7443 rear turn signals. They plug into the original socket and have resistors built into the circuit with an additional 7443 socket that plugs into the tail lamp. You would just have to make sure to mount the resistors on a metal surface because they will get very hot when in use, and they can melt plastics & other non-metallic components. Here is a link for reference (you may need to search around a bit, though, as I have not used this particular product yet to actually recommend): amzn.to/3QSgKZs I am currently in the process of fixing this hyper-flash issue on my civic, and I should have a video about it here in the near future.

Is it only the turn signals that cause fast flashing?, I have a 2010 civic and was considering going all in with replacing every tail light with LEDs

Correct. It is only the turn signal LED bulbs that cause hyper-flashing. One solution is to add resistors to the turn signal circuits. I am currently looking into a solution where you can install a specific LED Turn Signal bulb that will eliminate the hyper-flashing issues.

Apparently, Lasfit has new upgraded LED Turn Signal bulbs that will eliminate the hyper-flashing issues. Does the reverse light ever have random flashes ?

No, not that I've ever experienced. The DRL indicator on my dash does though... but that's because the DRL system sends "half power" to the high beam bulbs... and since led bulbs have really low resistance, the DRL system thinks there is an intermittent issue when there is not an issue. I haven't had any problems with my reverse lights though.

This Civic is the only one I currently have and it is a 2008 LX Sedan... the same generation as the 2006.

My civic is an 08. They are oem tall lights. For some reason, honda changed the turn signals from red to amber at some point for the 8th gen civic.

I have a Tango Red Pearl 2008 Civic Sedan LX with a five-speed automatic, the one featured in this video the exterior color code I believe is B537M which is Automatic Blue Metallic, one of the changes from 2008 to 2009 other than the OEM tail lamps, is that starting with the 2009 model you do not need to remove the bumper in order to swap out the tail lamps, whereas with the 2006 to 2008 models you do have to remove the bumper in order to swap out the tail lamps. There is a video by a KZfaqr named TRQ showing the removal and replacement of a tail lamp where the bumper is left on, but the person in the video does not specify if it is 2009, 2010 or 2011 model.
