Love the new Honda Civic , beautiful inside and out.

They are really hyping up the Civic before the Aug release. It looks amazing and fun to drive. Cars have really changed. I remember being so proud of my 86 Integra with roll-up windows and no A/C. I loved that car. Now, all I can think of is that I want more. So you end up with a $35k Civic. Sometimes, I long for the simpler cars. 😮

Hope the Ridgeline gets some love. Definitely the truck to own in canada right now. But it looks like some grandpa mobile. It looks too soft and safe. Id like to see a bit of aggression added to its styling, take some hints from the Type R, or give the styling to Acura and see what they manage.

Honda needs to work on making that 1.5 Liter engine more reliable.

Test drove 2024 Civic sedan and hatchback. First dealer didnt want me on the highway. I know why, because he didnt want me to hear the road noise at high speeds at normal highway speed of 70-80mph. Went to second dealer and told them i wont even consider it unless you let me drive it on the highway at those speeds. It is as noisy as my 2014 Accord Coupe. Does not good to have Bose Premium speaker system when i have to turn up the stereo blasting on the road. Honda just fails to silence their cars and add Dynamat or other dampening, and no ANR that works properly. I feel the 2026 Prelude and upcoming models will be the same. I want a quiet car on the road. Honda is not delivering. Tesla Model 3 on the hother hand is quiet due to double pane glass and more dampening. Sound system is 100% better too.

In Canada where this car is built, for 2025 LX you removed back seat 40/60 split, back seat centre arm rest removed sun visor lamps and so many small items. From sport trim removed synthetic leather, backseat USB chargers and yet made the lower trim more expensive than 2024 in order to push buyers to buy your higher and more expensive trims than already expensive lower trims. The civic price in Canada is almost the same as compact SUV or mid size sedan. How people are supposed to afford a basic car to go to work? This is called corporate greed.

I’m not digging it that much. I don’t like the front end. I think the black accents around the headlights, it looked better. Overpriced as well! I’d rather have the turbo, but unfortunately you’re not making the turbo so I have to buy something else or look for a 2024 sport touring hatch turbo. 😢 And no SiriusXM that’s a game ender for me. I gotta have that in my car. And I’m not gonna stream it through my phone just so I can listen to it in the car.
