See how to perform a Wiseco clutch upgrade on a Honda CRF450R in this video from Partzilla.com.
In this video, we’ll use a clutch upgrade kit from Wiseco and some OEM parts. The Wiseco clutch kit includes new discs and plates, a clutch basket, springs, and a pressure plate. There’s also a separate clutch hub and clutch cover we’ll use, both from Wiseco. We’re also using a couple of OEM gaskets and transmission fluid as well.

This is part of a larger rebuild project, so we’ll start with the engine removed from the bike (which you don’t need to do for this job) and the old clutch already out of the motor. We’ll transfer the gear from the old OEM clutch basket to the new Wiseco clutch basket, and that will involve the removal of several rivets on the OEM part. John will take you through a couple of ways to get those out. Once we get the gear off we’ll move it to the new basket and start getting it installed, but first we’ll re-attach the water pump and crankcase cover that were removed during the engine build.
Next, we’ll get to adding the clutch discs and plates and then installing the pressure plate and getting the clutch springs torqued down. Since it’s all in the details on this build, we’ll close it out with a new Wiseco clutch cover.
