Part one of this project. Despite having rebuilt many bikes over the years, I was caught out with this one! Paid too much for it and there was hidden corrosion on the frame. However, the show must go on and I will get it finished to hopefully a reasonable and usable bike.

You have a great attention to detail John, cant wait to see it finished, by the way your paint work is first class.

Hi, great looking cycle--I know you'll do well with it. I have a 1964 C100 that I inherited and am working on and have a question if you have a moment--I am not sure where to hook up the ground on the battery--there was a black wire with a female lead that I used to ground the battery to on it when I got it, but it came off the other day and I have no idea where it was connected. The schematic for the Honda shows a blue wire leading from the battery that goes to the combination switch and appears to be grounded there, but I don't want to make a mistake and burn something out. I do see the blue wire, which has a male lead. No idea why. Can you advise?

Yes, I think you are right, it looks like the earth from the battery connects to the blue (in a tube) and that goes to the switch. This diagram might be helpful s.turbifycdn.com/aah/dratv/c100-wire-diagram-13.gif
