I loved testing the Honda e, it’s a great small electric car perfect for nipping around the city of town! It’s not without it’s downsides though, the price tag is a huge roadblock for many people as is the short range and minimal practicality. If you are looking for something cute, quirky and premium then the e could be just the car for you!

For such a cute cult car, I can’t believe there isn’t an aftermarket coach builder that can’t swap some components and give it double/triple the range.

It is such a lovely cute car yes! I think if Honda could’ve added more range they would’ve done, it’s so small that adding a larger battery would make it more cramped.

As a Honda E owner myself The E was/is expensive but it's a matter of choice and priority.... I wanted small car. The downside was smaller range... If I wanted price a ZOE would suffice.

Thanks David, yes the blue is probably my second favourite colour although the car is then black and blue (bruised) ☹️ I think that blue works great on other cars though!

Another fab review as always Sam - your reviews just keep getting better 👍🏻👍🏻 If you get chance a full review of the Honda Jazz would be brilliant. I’m seriously considering going Hybrid on my next car and was really impressed with the interior of the Jazz - I thought it was way nicer than the Yaris I looked at. I’m also planning to look at the new Nero and the Kona but the Honda seems to have better performance and the Honda reputation for superb quality. Electric does tempt me but after watching some TED talks and reading up about it Hybrid still seems better at the moment (there seems to be less environmental impact over the lifetime emissions?) 🤔 Also what was your impression of Cox? Were they good to deal with? Just I would give them a try if I end up going for a Honda in the end. Keep up the good work ☺️

Thanks for your comment Richard! The Jazz offers much more interior space than the Yaris and like you said you where really impressed with it. I’d definitely recommend Cox Motor Group, they have 4 Honda dealerships in the north west as well as a VW dealership, MG, Seat and Cupra dealers! Also they offer delivery too! Hybrids do get great fuel economy but aren’t quite as engaging to drive (unless they have a turbo and a dual clutch system rather than a CVT) Have you thought about a mild hybrid? Many manufacturers such as Ford, Volkswagen and Nissan now offer them, there are less batteries to lug around and you get much better fuel efficiency! Thanks again!

@@Carcode That’s a good point about CVT gearboxes - back in 2010 I had a Honda Insight, it was a fantastic car but I absolutely hated the gearbox!! - although it was the only thing I didn’t like about it, the fuel economy in particular was excellent. That experience totally put me off CVT gearboxes I must admit, although recently I have been driving a Suburu with a CVT and it seems much better than I remember (or because I’m older now I’m not not thrashing it as much 😇). It looks like the Honda CVT now simulates gear changes too (which the Insight didn’t do) so I will have to take one for a test drive and see what it’s like. That’s brilliant about Cox Motor Group too - it sounds like they are definitely worth a visit. I had a quick look on their website and it seems they have some good deals on new Honda’s too. I’d not thought about the new mild Hybrid systems either, thats a good point and definitely something I should look into. There’s just so many choices it’s hard to know which one is best 😂
