Its a good idea to replace the exhaust gasket when you remove the pipe as well.

I have this scooter as a "pit bike" to get me to and from the staging lanes for my husbands drag racing. The rear tire has busted nearly 4-6 intertubes this year, apparently the sidewall has weakened over the years. We were disassembling the scooter a much harder way- removing the seat basically. In searching for a replacement tire I stumbled on this video, and realized the easier way to get to the rear tire. Today I used the video from the dragstrip to walk us through changing it your way. One suggestion - don't take the bottom 10mm exhaust bolt all the way off, just back it off. We were still able to get the wheel off and not have to try getting that hidden nut back on.

I have a 2001 Elite S 50. Un restricted. After un restricting whats the cheapest way to start making more power? I've tried to simply remove the top intake cover, but it just bogs down.

Imo its easier to remove the "bucket" and seat together to be able to reach the exhaust bolts on the cylinder. And less risk damaging bodypanels
