Purchased the Honda Mower Two Weeks Ago at Home depot and I am now Talking about it.

Very nice mower ,explain to me how the self drive system how it works is it reliable long term ,is it any good on hills ect

It is a great mower, cuts well and the bag/mulch lever can not be beaten. This is the first one I have owned, third season now, and it is has around 200 hours on it. The drive system is belt drive and the speed is adjustable from the handle , there is a turn knob that goes from min speed to max . Once you get this adjusted to your style, the handle speed levers will have a good range of speed. I don’t mow on many hills , but this mower has plenty of power for the drive. I am always just walking behind the mower as it is working. Thanks

How well does the rear discharge work in comparison to a side discharge mower like my old Toro recycler? I need a new mower but I use side discharge 99% of the time.

The Honda has only mulch and bag. I mulch a majority of the time and it does a great job. It does have a two blade system that a great job mulching. I have an older Toro too that I still use actually, it has a Honda engine. I think you would be happy with the Honda mower, I am .

I don't get it.. This is a Honda commercial machine but never the less it's all plastic. And I'm not talking just about the mowing deck whick is made from this special material Honda has produced but all the other parts. This back flip is plastic, there's no metal bumper at the front like any professional 21" mower has.. And I see all the professional landscape people using exclusively Honda for their 21" push mowers. No Toros, no Exmarks, nothing. Just Honda, Honda, Honda.. My professional KAAZ 21" is built like a tank compared to these Hondas. You could go over people and just keep mowing. It's sturdy. It's heavy (not the best thing but it says quality). I'm not sure I'd be buying myself these Hondas..

vegass04 I do love the way it cuts grass and mulches . I am not a professional, but do mow a lot of lawns and mulch leaves. This Honda does have several faults and a lot of plastic. I just ordered several parts to get it back in shape. I do have a Toro and Like it too. Anyway, the Kaaz looks like a great mower, not sure if I can get one here, would Love to try it out. Thanks very much.

This Honda is not a commercial grade machine. It's homeowner grade. Commercial Honda's have steel decks, front bumpers, edge guards and all around beefier parts. The HRX is warranted for 5 years homeowner use, but only 1 year professional use. The HRC line is the pro grade mower from Honda.

Heinzkitz Velvet You are correct. I bought this fro Home Depot. I do like the mower and so far it has been great for our needs. But, the professional line is definitely professional. Thank You.
