You couldn’t have chosen better bikes. To me that’s what an adventure is all about. Bet you were glad to have the 5 speed gearbox version with an oil filter. How’d they hold up? Fantastic weather apart from what looked like the one rainy day.

Hi, I agree with you. On a small bike trip feels like an epic adventure in some way. During the trip we meet a lot of GS, Africa and Tenere riders who were impressed. Few of them shake our hands, took pictures and even asked if they could sit on a Monkey 😊 Monkey is perfect conversation starter. 5 gear was a bonus when we hit motorway. Monkey hold very well and we had zero issues.

Good adventures, did you manage with keeping the bikes safe from thief's and the like ? Also was the fuel ok in the bike from the road side vendor's?
@Jev8oyАй бұрын
Hi, we every time booked places we sleep with parking and had disk locks over night and was no issue. Fuel from road side was ok. Price was little bit higher than at fuel station but not by a lot.

I bought a Dax repilca from Skywalk for trip to east (Kirgisistan or so...) with my Salkuki dog in future...best bike for this because of 78kg and size for all car transport in case of problems with the bike... wide tires for all terrain are best... easy to find spare parts in all region of the world because this motor is driven world wide often...
@Jev8oy9 ай бұрын
Hi, nice plan. 78kg is very light 👍 I have on my list Kyrgystan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and hopefully Turkmenistan (if they open border). But that only in near future and probably I will do that on Honda CT125 🙂

Is there any news on consumption? And on the cruising speed on "open" roads or highway? Beautiful video!
@Jev8oy9 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you. Speed was dependant on conditions (wind, hils,…). I would say on highway we been doing 50-65 miles per hour. We have been filling up every 90-100 miles (highway driving) with 1 bar left on yellow monkey and 2 bars on blue monkey. We always fill up same volume, but for some reason yellow monkey always show that have less fuel by 1 bar. On none motorway roads we done more miles per tank.
@robertozei44599 ай бұрын
Thanks for the quick response. - Sorry, talking about consumption I mean km/l or mpg...@@Jev8oy
@Jev8oy9 ай бұрын
@@robertozei4459 I didn’t calculate exactly. I would say 2.5l per 100km on motorway at full speed. My weight is 85kg and bag was 7kg. Hope that helps.

@@Jev8oy that's awesome 👍 tnks for prompt reply mate, much appreciated.im new to biking and I'm torn between the Honda cub or the monkey? Less room for storage gear on the monkey I'm guessing?.
@Jev8oy5 ай бұрын
@@keithdouglas9848 Keith, I’m new as well. Got my license last year and 2 months later gone to Morocco. Monkey has less room, but then you take less stuff with you (less is more..) Cub could carry more and it semi auto. Don’t be put off by small bike. Go test drive both. I would say what ever you choose is going to be fun. Little advice: don’t waste much time on trying to find best bike or gear otherwise you never going to leave..

Did you carry any extra fuel ⛽️?
@Jev8oy10 ай бұрын
Hi, no we did not. In general I would say in Morocco a lot of fuel stations even in the less populated areas. We did end up buying 3 times fuel from locals. Stop at any village and ask for fuel in case you about to run out. Someone in the village will sell you. Part of the adventure 😉
