This video shows how to replace the differential fluid in a Honda Ridgeline. This is the same process for a Honda Pilot or Honda Passport. This process is for a Generation 2 (Gen 2) Honda Ridgeline with a 6-speed transmission. Honda recommends replacing your differential fluid at every 30,000 miles or more frequently under heavy use, like towing and hauling.

Thanks for the great how to video. Two items that I need to point out just to help you. 1) you should not double torque the plugs. One click on the torque wrench and you are done. If you watch your video you can see that when you torque the plugs a second time you are tightening them passed the torque point. 2) Honda recommends that once you fill the rear diff, hand tighten the fill plug and then start and run the engine for about 30 seconds in Park, then remove the fill plug and top off the fluid. There is a pump inside of the rear diff and by running it you are bleeding the air out of the pump that occurred when the fluid was drained. It is not much of a difference but just pointing out what Honda recommends. Again, thank you for this video and all of the how to videos that you have made.😀
