You have to see ASIMO in person to really appreciate it. Beautiful robot. I saw it at Disney one year when I went for my HS grad night. Marvel..

It’s not all sad news, though. While no longer performing, the robot will still make the occasional public appearance. Honda is also aiming to focus on other robotics projects, similar to those at the Dawn Avatar Robot Café in Nihonbashi.

Asimo was the cutting edge robot for years. To bad Honda never kept developing this project. I suppose Tesla will pick up where Honda left off. I hope a robot butler like this will be released on the market in the next few years.

Totally agree. The Japanese engineers really brought their culture into ASIMO by giving him that kawaii personality and charm that is totally absent from subsequent robos.
