On my 2022 Honda CT 125 Trail, the tender is connected directly to the battery without any splicing of wires. Routing the tender connection for plug in is very easy. No need to cut and splice tender connections.

Maybe the dealer installed it. I’ve never seen one installed from factory, but it could be a new thing.

I’m curious why you didn’t connect the tender directly to the battery and why you added the extra red/blk wires?

It’s is because the original terminals have these bulky stoppers at the end that made it impossible to fit them under the cover. Especially with the bend I made with the positive terminal.
