Your setup looks great. Been looking for a top case to provide a backrest for passenger...it seems from the video that the case is mounted back quite far from the seat. Do you know or think that with a backrest installed it would provide proper support for a passenger? Also what's the part number for the mounting plate?

I`m solo rider so I`ve never tried if it would provide proper support for a passenger. Shad has proper backrest just look for backrest SH45 in google. And as for second question shad`s mounting plate I had with bracket. It`s full kit.

What is that phone mount on the left handle bar? Also, did you use the OEM rear carrier and some special plate mount for the Top case?

Hi there! I would like to ask you a few things, as I am also looking to a VFR800 from 2014 on. At the moment I have a 2005 model, so the side cases don't match to the newer model. How much do they cost? As I understand from your other comments, they are original Honda cases. Does Givi also make cases for 2014- model? Or Shad? Hop eI hear from you...Thanks in advance, Adrian

My local dealer offer me brand new OEM side cases for 400euros. So I think its quit cheap. If you are looking for non brand: GIVI or Shad you have to install first on bike additional mounting brackets. Givi makes PLX ora PLXR (removable version). Shad has 3P (3 point mounting case bracket) and looks more clear on bike then GiVi. But for me the nice looking are OEM

I have a new 2015, I'm really liking the SC project exhaust, but the angle looks to be a bit odd? It looks like it is mounted so that it is more pointing at an angle as opposed to a more level look? I've seen a few installed looking like this. Is there only one way to install the SC Project? Are there different brackets that make the pipe look more level? Thanks!

No, it`s looks to be compromised betwen touring and sport style. It`s a matter of taste :) But before I bought it, I saw a few mufflers. Did you see triumph sprint 1050 GT? There is leveled slip on. Even if You change it for shorter, aftermarket one, due to position on bike, for me it would look bad. To SC, there is only this way to mount on bike. This is the bracket that was in the box with the garmin zumo. Hi, scotts do not have mounting kit for our bikes. This one it`s home made. I asked my friend to made it for me. We based on pictures from Chinese one which are avalible on ebay.

How is your right bag holding up. Is it melting from the exhaust heat? I have a dell evil shorty. I am worried, if anything. I can switch back to stock no problem.

This side case is from VFR1200F. They have same mounting points and there is no problem with slipon. There is a lot of space so exhaust gases don`t couse any problems. Under case there is metal panel against overheating too. It`s work P&P. I made a lot off KM in this setup with no problems with stuff inside case.

Awesome thats good to know. I have the shorty delkevic and should be getting my oem bags soon. I went for the Givi on the top case. So excited. Your bike set up is nice. Did you do the free mods flapper, snorkel and pair?

I chose shad becouse mounting kit lookes for me nicer then givi but in opossite to top case givi which is nicer shad`s top case is ugly. If I chose givi I`ll buy V47. Both trunks has almost same size as OEM one. Something which is important for me too is that in my setup I use oem hand arms. I made all free modes becouse I installed rapid bike module.
