@@91rickstar they always release the next year model in the previous year in the US. Usually, it’s later in the year around august or sept but I got my 2017 a Honda Grom in sept of 2016 (there was no 2016 Honda Grom)

What about Australia would it be a 2021 or 2022 we are getting the groms around April this year there is no other new groms in Australia for sale atm btw I’ve been watching your videos for the past 2-3 months I’m going for my learners permit this month do u think a grom is a good 1st bike and would you go no abs or abs can you disable the abs :) cheers man keep up the awesome videos and yes I’m subscribed

Same here for USA. Our freeways have a 150cc minimum in most states. So if you want to hop on the freeway for an exit or two, you are not technically legal.

It was a real swing and a miss on increasing capacity. Going to 150/160 global and just 125 for Europe was a no brainer really. It’d make the bike so much more usable and is why they do it for so many other 125s. I like the update, but it just makes you wonder why? Unfortunately with the grom and it’s descendants (monkey, cub, ct125) they’ve realised they can basically print money with these things and don’t really need to try too hard

@@jonpram1737 same for the Ruckus and XR650L 🦕 🦖 among others. They know the Grom demographic is full of hype-beasts who want the latest style and will buy the new model every time it comes out.

i ordered a sp model and already have a painter set up to get rid of the white just because I wanted the gold forks and wheels 😅😂. I do agree abs would have been cool.

@@MarcM143 i love mini bikes but thats too much. got a z125 for 2500 with like 300 miles on it. granted this was precovid and i sold it later for more than i paid but i cant justify 5k for a mini bike. thats actually bike money that go travel highway speeds and carry another person

Nah keep it at 125 stock. Can ride it on a CBT (cost £100 every 2 years + its nearly impossible to fail) in the uk. Bigger than 125cc you have to do full license which cost like £600 + its hard to pass. The grom is a mini bike. If u want power, mod it or engine swap it. Been done a million times before.

Stop crying and just mod it! Honda encourages modding the bike!

@@eldee100 ngl this is Honda America we are talking about; we dont stop you from buying 1000cc if you're brand new to bikes. for most of us it makes sense for it to have a larger engine because the roads here are real fast.

If you know how to ride safely it's easy to pass in UK for the full licence. I passed it in one go without having ridden any bike previously.

id say get the grom you dont need to go fast to have fun😁 besides if i han an MTO7 iwould get into alot of trouble lol

@@jaybosher6144 For sure, 125cc is to fit in tax brackets in a lot of other parts of the world.

@@xorbe2 not really for tax but more for license reasons. In some eu countries you can ride these bikes from 16 if the engine size was bigger that will not be possible.
