Great question! So both do a great job at heat reduction, but obviously different processes and prices! So cheap wrap can be $20 a roll, good wrap is around $50 a roll with 2-3 rolls needed, so around $100-150 to wrap headers. Ceramic coating can be done cheap just for looks around $100 but a quality coating goes inside and out and runs an average of around $300. Heat reduction is close to the same if you get the $300 ceramic coating, but if far more durable against abrasion and oils. Some people have been known to do both, but I feel like that could be overkill. Whether the wrap causes any damage or not usually depends on the header material and if it has any coatings. Bare untreated mild steel like I used for mine will eventually rust, but a higher grade header with a coating would do just fine. All in all, it comes down to cost and looks preference. $100-$150 for wrap, or $200-400 for ceramic. Hope this helps!

Considering Titanium has a shorter lifespan due to heat cycles, causing stress cracks, Titanium is usually best to be properly cleaned and cermaic coated. The coating will help the metal last longer. For mild steel or high grade steel, I feel the wrap is a perfect option for performance vs cost. Ceramic coating is expensive, but ideal for Titanium or show quality exhausts.

It's Ledaut brand from Amazon, but man it works great! I can run a 1/4 mile pass and touch the wrap with bare hands at the end of the run, but the exhaust tip that's not wrapped could melt plastic.
