Welcome to the CarTell.
here we have the range rover vogue l322 3.6 tdv8. i have owned 3 in the past and im just here to share my experiences with them, what issues i have faced, how i have solved them and what its like to own a range rover vogue l322. the short answer to that question is... brilliant, i have loved every second of owning that beautiful beast, a monster on the road, a true icon. there is nothing else like it on the market, Mercedes ML? feels like a normal car, BMW X5? your sitting too low, its not a sports car, it should be, what they have advertised it to be, a off road SUV and it clearly is not, its a family MPV thats designed to look like an SUV. Audi Q7 i hear you say? driving is again like a normal car. interior quality is... yeah but the Vogue, now that is an SUV with True Off-Road Capabilities, Off Road Modes and Suspension Settings, on Screen Live Data to show you what the wheels are doing... it is next level, obviously i have forgotton to talk about these things and just remembered as i am typing away into the description box.

I have owned my TDV6 3.0 RR Sport L320 for 11 years. I bought it from a franchised LR dealer at 2 years old. I must like it as I’ve never owned any car for so long! It has been pretty reliable. The trick is to keep them well serviced at a non-franchised LR dealer who specialises in 4X4s. Somebody who doesn’t change everything so as to charge you more money. It is a pleasure to drive and goes like shit-of-a-shovel! I have absolutely no idea what I’d ever want to change it for. So I probably won’t.

iv had someone tell me that i just bought a car that is the most towed to the garage lol people just don't understand or want to understand the land rovers because of a few stupid people who couldn't take care of their cars and the news spread quiet fast, you ask anyone, you check any list of unreliable cars, your going to find a land rover lol if had nothing but joy with them. and im glad to hear the same from you. to many more miles and years of trouble free land rover motoring buddy, cheers lol

How regular do you get it serviced and do you do regular oil changes and stuff like that?

@@willlecomber7509 It doesn’t do much mileage. It has only done 110,000 miles to date. I put on about 3 -4,000/ per year at the most these days. It will tell me when it needs an oil chance but I tend to do it every 2 years. As said, the secret is to use a non-franchised LR specialist who respects and has pride in the vehicles. Use a 15/40 oil, not the 15/30 it says on the filler cap. You need something with the better viscosity the 40 has over the 30.

The biggest problem with the RR is that people don’t look after them properly. They are now to cheap to buy but they are still expensive to maintain. And only maintained at home if you have a very well equipped garage and a lot of knowledge…. I’d walk away from anything without a very good service history….

@GamerSquadLifestyle lol that's right mate, the worst car i have ever owned was a 2002 mercedes C220, an absolute nightmare, money pit of a vehicle, injector issues,, vibrations, shuddering and no matter what i have done (after spending 1k back then was a lot of money for me) it was still the same, problem was still there and sold it for less than i bought it for. so people saying that RR is not reliable simply haven't owned one or was just unfortunate with a bad apple like me with the mercedes lol

I just bought a 2007 tdv8 vogue today , I’ve had classics and p38😂 and always wanted a L322 vogue . It will fit so nice with my 1973 VW camper and 40kwh Nissan Leaf . I’m not too bothered about the £695 road tax as my other 2 vehicles are free to tax 👍🇬🇧.

hi the range rover will keep going but you have to serivce them when its needed but a lot of people wont do that put it like this if you dont feed a human he will stop working to own a range rover you need deep pocketsyou keep them serviced and they will keep going then it will just be wear and tear like any car you have to service it it is a must

I'm on the fence with RR . My thoughts were to buy one then went for porsche cayenne. Magnificent machine. Then again was thinking RR but went for volkswagon tourareg. Maybe next time lol

Wife sold her sport for 2012,vw altitude 3.0 tdi had a week went back to a 2014 sport much nicer not as nice as my l405 but the Touareg rubbish in comparison

You are off your head if you think the German cars are a good car if you want good stats re reliability etc go Jap if you want style go R/Rover !! Trust me they are as good if not better than most dont listen to all the crap that folk talk ie those who have not had one !!

Cheap as road tax is very expensive. Mpg low so expensive to drive. And not ulez compliant

Don't bother watching, Just run.. Run quickly in opposite direction to this Money pit,So relieved I walked away Although I fantasised about me dream motor.

So you have never owned one then ,no more a money pit than any other car ,you can’t say that unless you’ve owned one ,I’ve had mine for 2 years ,fantastic motor ,soon as I got it had it serviced,had all the oils changed,just come back from south of France in it ,over 2000 miles in 2 weeks,never missed a beat,had a Merc,sl before this and everyone said the same about them ,unreliable,again people like you who never had one saying this ,it’s down to the owner how it’s looked after,and who you buy the car off in the first place ,

@Peter Simms Last words of British Leyland were "But the unions said we'd get a pay rise if we went on strike not loose our jobs" I've had more problems with Nissans and Toyotas than Land Rovers over the years. Nothing major of course, just chassis snapping in half, axles falling off, timing chains snapping....minor things haha

4Runner? No way. Farm beater with 1500kg tow capacity doesn’t get anywhere near. Gotta at least be a Land Cruiser. Even they have expensive bills not to mention way higher purchase price

Why contreversial I dont get it ???? The best 4x4 by far for god sake its only the yanks that really like to knock it and the others have never had one !!!! I have had a 2 door still have it I have had a 4 door classic still have it and now I drive an L322 All of which have never ever let me down LOOK AFTER THE CAR THE CAR WILL LOOK AFTER YOU !!!! If you buy a pile of shit does not matter what make it is its a pile of shit!!!!!!!!!!!!If you buy a well looked after car with a good history and pay A FAIR price you will be ok !! If not sure get an expert to look for you it really is that simple !! German brands in my humble opinion are living off history these days they are not very well made but the Yanks love them and shout from the tree tops how good they are when we all know they are not !!!!!!!! R.Rover have led the way now for many many years and all that try to copy never get there Land Cruiser comes to mind a great car without doubt "BUT NOT A RANGE ROVER " !
