The thing I like about PRS is that if I want to buy a Strat I'd have to go out try 50 to find the right one. With PRS I can order any model in the mail and it will show up and play perfectly.

PRS all day. I actually feel like he played better on the PRS than on his own instrument lol.

While this guy does one of the best demos of the Silver Sky I've seen, I disagree that it doesn't feel like a Strat. 7.25 radius tiny frets is vintage, and there's nothing wrong w low action and playing like butter! PRS has some of the best setups in the industry, and I've played my share of Suhr. PRS also sounds more "stratty" to me.

He was playing that guitar on the humbucker when he was saying how good a strat sounds. Lol

The best part about this video is how hard Mark Hopkins digs into that PRS while testing it. He really let that guitar have it, and he dug all the sounds out of it he possibly could in 20 minutes on it. Great video. Sweet jam guys.

The Silver Sky sounds more “Strat” to me than the Suhr.

I'm at the point in my life where i dont wanna "fight" my guitar. I used to have that feeling to string it a bit heavier/higher action for tone purposes, but why? Whats wrong with buttery? You dig? Besides the player makes the difference in tone anyway. Tone is 80% hands imho.

Suhr sounded sick through hat-dude’s rig, I like his lyrical phrasing too. Dig the other guy’s more eccentric style too, nice to hear things other than SRV and Jimi being played on a strat.

Mark Hopkins what an awesome guitarist and loved the review . Also loved the “moe.” shout out as to why he played fender in college, moe. is such great band. When it comes down to it it really is all about feel . Two great guitars and two great guitarists. Appreciate the honest review.

Had a silver sky I own a suhr, being a busy father, the best choice for me was the suhr, feels so comfortable and precise. The silver sky, after not playing it for a while always had a small time to readjust back to it, and for me, I go through a shred tapping phase every year, the silver sky for that was a little more difficult.

Just want to thank you again for your videos inparticualy the one on "slamming the door" something clicked for me. And I just want you to know which you probably already do, which is something I know, because I'm 53 years old, that you still need to hear it and that is, that you have a special gift for communicating and keeping people interested. I've learned more from you in 5 or 6 months and not only about guitar but life in general than I have for a long time. I truly respect you I wish I lived across the street from you. Lol any way keep it up and thanks again. Jeff from northern California.

I got an 18 model. Really love it, but I can see where it might not be for everybody. The quality and tones sold me. I don’t mind the neck thickness. I adapt pretty easyly. Great video guys and awesome playing. I’m 71 yrs old, played a lot of guitars. I love the USA silver sky. Thanks fellas.

Okay, so seeing this there is absolutely no doubt that the Suhr is the better strat. Like, by far. Not even close. BUT I don't think the point of the PRS is to be a strat or a super strat. It might be along the lines of a strat, it might've been inspired by a strat (next to other things) but it's something completely different. It's like he said in the beginning: it's not a strat but it's also not a PRS. It's something new. THAT is the point of this guitar. It's a new breed. And there are definitely not many people on this earth that are capable of creating something new in the world of guitars. Paul Reed Smith just showed us that he is one of those who can do that. Absolutely outstanding Paul, great job!

I"m loving both of those guitars, but I'm partial to PRS. I LOVE my McCarty 594. I play it every day.
