Sara McLachlan in her prime would have been great, but I'd still go today. Seeing 'Hejira' era Joni again would be awesome. But all seven of your choices, absolutely.

Every time I see Claude drumming I'm blown away by how much of a badass he is. Super underrated, he might be in my top 5 of favorite drummers of all time.

Whew! I need a nap after “hearing” Jimi’s rendition. I love your reaction and technical explanations of this song’s sheer POWER! Btw, if “Machine Gun” blew your mind, dude, I would love your reaction To His live performance of “Are You Experienced, Winterland ‘68. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mJmTnr11nK-YqX0.htmlsi=jU0TsWtW5Saqiyfa

Lots of greats mentioned that could be on this list. But try to remember, his choices are wonderful and the list is 5! Only 5! Change it to 15 and lots of these others would be on it.

I gotta say, in the US, yes. OMG... what a wonderful field of women. We have been enjoying the European scene and have fallen in love with Floor Jansen (but only singing in Nightwish) and Simone Simmons (but only when singing with Epica). Not saying anyone is better than anyone else. I saw Bonnie with Jackson from the second row. OMG, that was spectacular.

Michael....OMG, you hit it on the head! I have seen Bonnie Raitt and Alison Krauss and Union Station live and trust me, they are on another level. They're performances are so effortlessly. That's a sign of a true professional. And Alison Krauss has the absolute best band in show business. Good job pal!

As many cover bands as I've seen play Beautiful Girls.Nobody gets the high hat swing right. There's so many little things in his playing that nobody gets. Every drummer starts panama off wrong. It starts on the & of one. Too many drummers play at like tommy lee. No disrespect to him, but it's not crash Bash rock.

One of my all time favorite singers who doesn’t seem to get the love and recognition she deserves is Sandy Denny. Sadly she passed away way to young. Which is probably why she is kind of forgotten about. Sandy was a member of the 60’s British Folk Rock band Fairport Convention. Her stint in the band was short-lived. I believe she was only featured on the bands 2nd album What We Did on Our Holidays which came out in 69. She left the band to pursue a solo career. Who knows where the Time goes is probably one of her biggest songs. She wrote that song when she was still a teenager. It’s been covered by a lot of different artist over the years. Most notably Nina Simone. Sandy is also the only person not named Robert Plant to sing on a Led Zeppelin song. If memory serves, she was addicted to drugs and alcohol and had manic and depressive behavior. Which caused her to spiral out of control. Her death was a result of falling down a flight of stairs and hitting her head on concrete. She wound up in a coma, and becoming brain dead. She died in 1978 at the age of 31. I highly recommend you do a deep dive. Her music catalog is available online. There’s even a documentary that you can watch on KZfaq.

Back in October of 2001 I was driving home from a Saturday night shift at a restaurant I worked at. I was listening to the Idiots Delights radio show on WFUV in NYC which was hosted by the legendary Vince Scelsa. Vince had an in studio guest who was making her radio debut. At the time of the interview his guest did not have an album out. They had a demo tape and played gigs around New York City. Vince asked his guest if they would like to play a song live in studio. As soon as I heard the opening piano notes/vocals to Shoot The Moon I got the chills and immediately pulled over. I had no idea who his guest was till after the song was over. I must’ve missed the intro to the interview where he mentioned the name of his guest. I wrote Norah Jones name on a napkin and knew she was destined to become famous. What I didn’t know, was that her debut album would go on to win lots of Grammys. Here are some of my favorite up and coming female singers that nobody has mentioned in no particular order. Gracie Lawrence Kate Rhudy Katie Pruitt Margo Cilker Caitlin Jemma Maya Elise Julianna Riolino veronica stewart-frommer Tema Siegel

The lyrics are a sample from Marvin Gaye's song, "I want you", released in 1976. I remember because this was the year I graduated from high school! New school incorporating old school, creating this masterpiece!
