reggie Smith he did, but he didn't die. And it's not a theory. There's an interview where James Mangold said they wrote the scene to end that way so that the prophecy could still come true. Do your homework next time...

Alan Griffith that's true, in The Wolverine he did hold his heart in his hand BUT he didn't die. James Mangold said in an interview that they wrote the scene in Logan that way so that Yukio's vision/prophesy could still come true and Logan could die holding his heart!

Garrett Adams To be fair, I try to avoid trailers when I can. Not that I don't like to get hyped for a movie, but sometimes (especially for horror films) they give away too many spoilers. Ex: Seeing scene B with Actress 1 in the trailer tells me Actress 1 won't die in scene A.

personM4N also in the wolverine, Logan cuts his heart out of his chest to get a power draining parasite off his heart and died for a couple of seconds whilst doing so... Logan was written after this movie wrapped up...

Yea but he wasn't holding his heart in his own hand in that scene in The Wolverine. Also, Yukio said "there's blood everywhere" and there barely was in that scene. In Logan tho where he actually dies...... Blood everywhere. Mangold is a smart director. I'm not saying he's planned Logan's death before the movie was even written, but they did purposefully end up doing it in a certain way that would align with Yukio's vision.

I watched this movie for the first time with my mom. She was a pretty big comic book fan growing up but never really got into the X-men. But she absolutely loved it. She said it was her favorite super hero movie. We watched about 12 others during the month she was visiting to try to get caught up for End Game. But she absolutely loved both X-23 and Logan. She thought it was fun to watch the little girl kick so much ass. She also felt bad for Logan but said she understood exactly what he was going through between being so tired after fighting so long and loving your kid so much you push through even if you hate yourself for doing it sometimes. I don't have a larger point or anything. I just didn't know my mom was a comic book nerd until a few months ago and this movie was a big part in learning about that. So the movie holds a special place for me since we bonded during a tough time in my life even though we weren't very close when I was growing up.

Well, "Supergirl" with Christina Slater was the first superhero film led by a woman, but nobody even remembers it anymore. It helps that it sucked and that it was the beginning of the belief that women (And superheroines by extension) couldn't make good action movies, though.

It's kind of funny how Logan and Deadpool are so similar, yet so different. Both fantastic R-rated X-Men films full of violence and swearing, and yet one's so dark and depressing while the other is light and funny.

ikr, its exactly as you say, because deadpool is known as the merc with the mouth and is aware that he is basically not real but logan on the other hand doesn't even know that he's a fictional character and plays his role as you see him, violent and full rage, deadpool on the other hand is violent, like Logan, but puts also words into the fight and thats something that makes it kinda funny, so what I'm basically saying is, Deadpool is the funny version of Logan and also one more similarity, deadpool also has a child like logan, a biological daughter, look it up at the comics, and speaking of Logan, his daughter will probably take his super hero alias.

James Mangold explained that the R rating allowed scenes to run longer (since movies aimed at families have to keep up the flashy colors and explosions to hold kids short attention spans)

This movie had the one thing most franchises never get to have: an honorable ending. While the Fox mutant movies may continue, it was a satisfying end to two beloved characters, and I love it.

The X-Men films with two exceptions, have always been good films. As a series continuity is all over the place but each film can generally stand on it's own, again with two exceptions.
