I'm one of the only people i know that understood the big short, mainly because I'm an economics major, but it was honestly so good. the movie was so well made, the writing and screenplay was great, the acting was phenomenal, but i can see how people who don't really understand that stuff feel. most people get the overall gist of it tho.

Chris Dynamo It was better than most of the movies on this list. the dialogue is just perfect. the vibe, screenplay. everything about it is just perfect in my opinion. It didn't have to be deep. it started from a guy starting to work with an AI and it the movie becomes emotional, exciting. it is really good. better or as good as the revenant in my opinion.

The word masterpiece gets thrown around too often nowadays. I miss the days when directors had to work damn hard for a masterpiece. Don't you think Bergman really fucking earned it, for Fanny and Alexander? And now "Straight out of Compton" is a masterpiece, I guess.

the first half was the second half just rushed through half a decade of character development to cram in as many scenes of Dre talking to famous rappers as possible.

It was good until the concert riot. Then it became a competent drama about eazy E inter spliced with Dre and Ice Cube putting themselves on a pedestal and not having any flaws.
