Random bit of character revelation (can't exactly call it character DEVELOPMENT) tossed in there. Gunn likes to throw in some feels sometimes (though I don't remember any in Slither), but that was a bit too late in the film to matter.

The line is sadly ruined by this version of Starro not taking over people in an easily reversible manner, but turning them into walking corpses. He killed at least hundreds of innocents, quite likely thousands.

Steve Agee is John Economos, Warden at Belle Reve, and the on-set mocap for King Shark. Sean Gunn is playing Calendar Man and The Weasel.

I was expecting the film to be a lot goofier and dumber than it was, the jokes are there and they are good but they are grounded in a genuinely solid movie. It maybe wasn't Guardians great but I would happily rewatch it several times without getting bored. There's a lot of heart and it deserves to do better than it has so far

I actually liked it more than Guardians because I got more involved with the characters. And that's despite thinking guardians is just a great movie, but I prefer the character arcs in this one.

@@Arkayjiya Personally, I'd say it doesn't measure up to GotG Vol1, partly because the (intentional) similarities make this feel very familiar at points, but it's better than GotG Vol2, which failed to recapture the stuff that made the first film work so well. Still: easily DC's best film so far -- the only one that's genuinely entertaining from start to finish.

Its kinda subtle, but the reason Rat-catcher is so sleepy is because she's dreaming of being under a blanket of rats with her father. In the bus she states that this is one of her fondest memories.

Yoo the starfish is not an aquatic creature. It's a terrestrial alien from different planet. Actually in new 52 comics, he is a humanoid alien who controls these huge kaijus called starro.

@@KhanMann66 Orca appeared in mid-Seventies Avengers comic. In the "Big Hero Six" cartoon, the rich kid's mansion has two glass cases with villian costumes in them. One is Black Talon, and the other is Orca. Black Talon was also in an Avengers' comic from around the same time.

And his acting was really great, it’s like Ayer stifled the dude to pure blandness when if you saw The Killing he was by far the best thing about it, pure charm. Much better actor than the first one let him be

She is supposed to be a meta-human in the comics at least so it tracks. I'm not sure if this version of her has received the "antidote" from Poison Ivy that gives her light superpowers.
