@@octogigas I dunno, "we're investigating reports of an unexplained phenomenon"? "there appears to be an event happening" is such an enormously vague statement, it says absolutely nothing and could refer to anything from starting your car to the apocalypse.

The other girl is a working actor including a major voiceover role on Legend of Korra.

@@jamisojo I'm glad someone liked it, box-office bomb though it was. However, the _Honest Trailers_ folks didn't. Their episode "Honest Trailers: Jupiter Ascending" absolutely skewered the film. If you really liked the movie and haven't seen their review, don't watch; it'll just make you mad. Besides their review of _After Earth_ and maybe _The Last Airbender_ , it's their biggest shellacking of a film I can think of. That's why I'm surprised it's not in this compilation. 3:40 I think I watched the movie once, but I couldn't watch it, so I didn't remember most of it. But that cafe scene just shows how little moviemaking experience Tommy has. The people in line go take their seats, and pull out noisy chairs right over dialogue. So they clearly had one mic for the room (pun intended) rather than one for foreground dialogue, and one for ambience, and, stick with me here, "sound mixing". I know, crazy, right?

I still think The Happening was intended to be a parody of environmental horror movies from the 70s and 80s, but not everyone got the memo that it was supposed to be a comedy and that's why it's... the way it is.

Are there any teen dramas that actually end realistic, with someone dying before 22, some of them becoming druggies/alcoholics and most people ending up with the baby of someone they met from high school? Granted, I am from a small town, but still...it is kinda status quo

At least these movies are ACTUALLY really bad and not something nerds decided was bad because some random movie influencer decided it was bad. I've seen that happen a LOT. I think it's changed a bit over the past few years but I'd walk out of movies with friends loving it, like in the 2000's, only for them to tell me they hated it a couple weeks later. And it's like, yeah, they didn't come to that decision themselves. It's sad when people do that.
