Kelly Clarkson is a great singer and is mostly known for her vocal talent and hits, however learning about her journey, she truly just demands respect in one way or another.

Kelly Clarkson is easily one of the best vocalists to debut after 2000, she’s an incredible singer but she doesn’t get enough credit and recognition for her talents. I’m happy Kelly held her own with My December, to this day it’s one of my favourite Kelly Clarkson albums along with Stronger and Meaning Of Life and it’s definitely her most underrated.

@FactoryOfSuffering1977 sorry...but Kelly sings circles around all of them as far as true vocal capability, range & technique. All of those women you named fit perfectly into their genres...but Kelly can literally sing any style of music. She’s the closest pop music has to an opera diva, her level of technique is out of this world, it’s extremely rare to find in any venue in the world. This explains her career longevity off of (mostly) mediocre music.

@FactoryOfSuffering1977 I love Muse!! I understand how rare and unique those others are, I’m strictly talking from a pedagogy landscape, and while Kelly Clarkson could hold her own at a metropolitan opera, and the church Whitney Houston grew up in, and belting Elphaba in Wicked, her foundation in her technique is just currently unmatched. She’s given moments in her career on Whitney levels, which yeah yeah vocal competitions love to sing Whitney songs cuz she’s the gold standard but no one has ever come close to that mark as Kelly has. She might not completely move you emotionally as a vocalist, which is totally fair it’s all subjective, but from a strict and cold analytical scientific lense she’s the best there is as far as versatility. Kristen Chenoweth is an incredible diva soprano that is also a world class musical theater character actress, outside of that she crushes country music (so does Kelly btw)...but Chenoweth could never pull off a gospel number, for some perspective

@FactoryOfSuffering1977 really dude? Muse? Paramore? Evanescence? Linkin Park? 9 out of 10 people have seen these bands perform many...many songs. These aren’t some deep indie cuts lol we get it you like rock singers, however it’s a fact that they would embarrass themselves trying to sing every style of music that exists where Kelly wouldn’t

One of the main reason I idolizes her even more after "Breakaway" album is how genuine, honest and brave she is to stand up for what she believes in, especially publicly. Understood "My December" was not well-performed as a follow up to Breakaway, but it is something she have to do it as an artist. It would have garnered Grammy nom for the track "Sober" and probably Best Pop Vocal album if the label was on board with it. Unfortunately, Clive might think the album might represent his image and detested the whole album because it does not contain "hits". As her career ascends, I felt like she have grown in both artistically and personally without losing her own identity which many artist struggles. The world needs more Kellys right now.

*Pls make a video about Poppy* 😍🥰😇 She has went through so much and changed a lot over the years and is doing remarkable. She has switched between genres multiple times and has found success in all of them. She went from an internet enigma to a well established singer/song writer. She escaped an abusive relationship and has triumphed in life and is now engaged to ghostemane and doing great in her career.. on top of that she even got nominated for a Grammy for her song! Hope you'll consider this since you do other smaller artists.

Great video! I just found it and watched it. I remember going to see Kelly Clarkson on her “cancelled tour “ during her ‘ My December’ Era, which is an era (along with ‘Breakaway’ ) that I hold dear to me. I also got to meet her after and she is the best! ❤

She's really smart, now with her talk show, she can take all the time in the world to make a new album, a pop artist life is short, she knows it, and now she has no pressure to release new music. She'll definetely comeback with a killer album, singing the songs she wants to sing, and with the producers and writers she'll want to.

the fact she was fighting so hard for her art in the background shows just how authentic she is. Especially against those nasty music execs and Dr Luke. The fact she was fighting against working with him
