The best personal loans I found were American Express personal loans, SoFi and LightStream Loans. I'll cover them each in-depth. Each of these personal loan companies have pros and cons, so I'll cover each of them and I'll let you know how I feel about their loan options. It was very hard to find low interest personal loans online, because there are so many to choose from. But these lenders don’t charge any dirty origination fees or pre-payment penalties and they have instant approval, which is sometimes hard to find.

Thx for the vid. Subbed and liked. Two questions...when shopping, are these all hard pulls on your credit and I'm considering a personal loan for consolidation from Wells. Any pros and cons about Wells? I bank and have cards with them. That's why I'm leaning there.

Amex and SoFi were soft pulls and lightstream was a hard pull. Wells is probably a hard pull, but at least check the others out first. Wells rates might not be as good

The whole point to get a personal loan this time is to eliminate several credit cards. As in pay off balance and close accounts. And the remaining cards keep for actual events where funds are needed right at the moment.

Hey. I'm thinking about a personal loan because family and friends dont want to/cant help me. I work in construction and the nature of that beast is layoffs, short projects, or injuries. Now, I have never had any kind of loan or credit card, so rule out debt from that equation. I have no credit to speak of, well, maybe a medium level 600's. I need a small personal loan to pay rent and expenses while waiting for the next job to start. Can any of these help?

Do what ya gotta do, but pay off the loan ASAP. Personal loan rates are too expensive if you have bad or no credit. You can always apply and see what’s happens though

I paid a personal loan with SOFI in 3 months (6,000 to pay in 36 months), however I applied for a 9,000 loan after and I got denied (my credit score is 721 experian), I believe I was punished for paying earlier :(

I shopped all the lenders you mentioned and then some for a personal CC Debt Consolidation loan. Lightstream for sure had the best rates and terms for me. I applied on Friday and was approved Monday Afternoon with my funds in my bank account Wednesday. It was an easy process everything was done online. Your are correct loans between 10-25K get the better rates. Plan on paying it off ASAP now that I have a reasonable rate not a 23-26% CC interest rate. Thank You Sir for the Lightstream recommendation.

I had an auto loan with them once and they’re good. I just looked into their loans and it’s legit. I’d 100% be okay with them. Just check about two others as well , because you never know who will have the best rate in the end. Are they Canadian only for personal loans?

I worked for a big personal loan company last summer and the majority of their loans were people in credit card debt. With their formula you also got lower rates if you selected Debt Consolidation too.

If you have high revolving debt (credit cards), does it make sense to get a personal loan to pay of other debt (like student loans) so that you can have more money every month to pay off the credit cards?

No because the rates on your student loans are lower than any personal loan. You could pay off credit card debt if the rate is better, but you have to change your spending habits too. Otherwise you’ll end up in a worse position

I regret asking for the personal loan from Lightstream ,it came as a hard inquiry with name Suntrust bank Dba Li. Am so angry that they could do that. To add more salt to the injury , I was even denied . I just have to ask my credit union or get from Amexpres when am preapproved. Thanks for your info .

Man, it's impossible for me to get a loan anywhere. My credit score is above 750 but I'm an independent worker. I tried your two options (I don't have an AE card) plus Marcus and lending tree. Where else can I go to get a loan where the chances of getting approved are higher? I don't care about the fees and stuff like interest.

It's ironic that you put this video up today. This past weekend I had been looking at the possibility of a personal loan. Credit Karma suggested that I had "very good approval odds" for a $5,000 short term loan but after reading the reviews and that the interest rate could be as much as 35.99%, I decided against it. However, I have a good relationship with a local credit union that I have my home mortgage and car loan through that I'm considering going and talking with. I figure I have a better chance with them because I have a history with them and it's a good, on time with payments history.

I'll check into it, but I'm not sure if I'd get approved. I remember you saying towards the beginning of the video that with either of these three places, you have to have a high (or higher) credit score. The other reason I was leaning towards my local credit union is because of my credit store (currently 534.. ugh) but I'll still give a look at these guys. :)
