Most handyman businesses fail because of cash flow. They simply do not know how to price handyman jobs.

Do you have a list or guide of suggested prices to charge for various handyman jobs?
@handymanjourney7 ай бұрын
What are businesses done is we have gone through each job and assigned how many hours it will take us to complete that job and we have multiplied that hour by our hourly rate to get ourselves a priceless. I would recommend you do this for your particular business as well because my business pricing is going to be a lot different than yours

Is this equation correct? Monthly expenses $2650 X 20% = $530 X 20% = $106 ÷ 160 hours = 66 cents?
@handymanjourney7 ай бұрын
😂😂😂😂😂 yes, your hourly rate is 66 cents! 😂 No you need to add 20%

Ok, thanks but I think you might want to repost another video that doesn't say "multiply". I appreciate your videos tho!

I feel ya, probably should have wrote that differently. I guess I was assuming people would know what I meant but you know what happens when you assume! Lol

@@handymanjourney "I know yall are trying to learn so that's why y'all are watching me. I know, I said "connect the black wire to the white wire" but I assumed you would not do what I said and you would already know what to do..." Oh, I got it now... Thanks ! :)

How do you factor in taxes that the business has to pay?
@handymanjourney4 ай бұрын
Once you have gone through a year of paying them they get put into your expenses on the first part of the equation, when first starting your 20% break even and profit figuring should cover it
@tronclay2 ай бұрын
yeah how does any of this make sense?? If my expenses are 2 grand, i add 20%, then add another 20% to that and get 2880.00.... then say i work 30 hours a week i divide 2,880.00 by 120 hours and get.... $24 per hour?????

This is a simple equation to know what you need to charge in order to make a profit, you can charge more if desired but this equation is for covering yourself
