God, this case is a rollercoaster. On one hand, there's the tension and fear from Maya's life being in grave danger, on the other, there's Edgeworth and Phoenix endless ass-pulling to keep the trial going and how ridiculous it gets.

I mean, there's a valid reason for knowing his rates. Hitmen probably don't come cheap, so only someone with a lot of money to spend could actually hire one. From there, it's a piece of cake to track down purchases made by suspects in the ballpark of the hitman's rates.

Can’t forget Phoenix saying “Yes, Daddy…” to Edgeworth in Turnabout for Tomorrow Or Nahyuta’s “What’s crack-a-lackin, homie”

How did the judge know?

Definitely up in the top moments, but for me I'll never get over the Von Karma case, where Phoenix supposedly (cause like we really can't see) pulls out an entire metal detector from god knows where, walks across the room, and proceeds to try and scan Von Karma with it.

It even told ME that I'm "Phoenix Wright"! Payne: ... (stares blankly at Phoenix) Wellington: ... (smiles smugly) Maya: ... (looks at Phoenix as if to say "You have GOT to be kidding me!") (TaT spoilers) This is pretty great but I have to say that some of the funniest lines in the games come from Trials and Tribulations while Miles is defending while Larry is the witness. “This one single statement is so full of contradictions, for a moment there, I thought I was gong to collapse.” “Your very existence being a contradiction, I'm not sure if you can grasp this or not.." “This might be Larry we are talking about, but even he is incapable of being so stupid.” “(It must be lovely to live in the fantasyland of Larry's mind.)” “(Actually, ots so depressing I can't even work up the energy to point.)” “... (Can one guy really be this stupid?)” “... (Yep, there's stupid, then there's Larry Butz.)” “... This witness certainly sits on one of the lowest possible branches of humanity.” And a couple lines from Fran for good measure... “Such a terrible witness... You are an affront to all the legal system stands for!” “A foolhardy folly of a foolish statement by an equally foolish foolhardy fool.” “You huffy, puffy, loosey-goosey excuse for a whimpering whining wuss of a witness!” And a little bit from my guy Gumshoe: “Prosecutor Edgeworth is a prosecutor, and that's why he's Prosecutor Edgeworth!”

Honestly all of the follow-up presses that further play this joke finish the whole thing, lol. Though personally, my favorite funny line is from 1-1 "You're allowed to hang yourself, Mr. Wright, but not in my courthouse!"
