I am an amateur woodworker, who built desks, bookshelves and beds. This channel, in my opinion, is one of the best woodworking channels because it skips on flashy and sensational, and teaches you how to solve problems in a sensible and realistic way, and is transparent about flaws, messups and plans that don't work out.

I love the fact that you are working. Not doing dumb youtube things that people do when they get popular. You're still grinding it out and I love watching this!

I guess that’s the trick to this kind on content, just staying unpopular hahahahaha.

Those doors are beautiful! I would have gone insane from all that coping but it does look great!

Not going to lie I tried to talk myself into just doing miters. But, now that it’s done I’m happy I sucked it up and did the copes

Beautiful work and perfectly judged coverage in the videos. There's something immensely satisfying about fitting those fixed door top and bottom sliding locks. I've only done a few but they are so effective and discrete. (Oh nostalgia is so much better looking back!) Looking forward to the install. Have a good weekend HB and fingers crossed for the security film to come good.

Good evening H. B. Just wanted to say that , again another fine project completed. These doors are extremely nice. I like what you said about talking yourself into doing the coping. After being on a project with the amount of time you have invested into it, it’s very easy to maybe look the other way to be done sooner. But deep down you knew, and bit the bullet and kept on to have it not only right, but second guess free in the back of your mind. You rock girl ! Can’t wait to see it installed including the hardware if possible. I’m just going to guess here , but I’m thinking that this project and the past project , “ The Aedicule “. Have worked out close to maybe about the same as far as your direction going forward with each job , building jigs, figuring just the right amount of lumber, best way of part assembly and test fitting and of course your time involved. Would you favor one over the other.

They look fantastic! Coping is a longer process. But the best way to do the job! That tree must have been under a great deal of tension for sure! Nice job!

Based on the amount of research required for this build, the time required to build it, time to film and edit I have come to the conclusion that you don't ever sleep. LOL This door will make a statement wherever it is installed. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and work methods. Have a great week.

Hahaha. There was a big learning curve on the info needed for exterior doors. Those books were a huge time saver.

Great video. The threshold hardware looks great, I will have to remember that for future projects. I had to abandon double doors on my current project because of its exposure and water intrusion. I too will worry about that glass clearing up🤞. You referenced ’the book’ Would you share the link please?

Nice series and great job on the doors . Coping the beading would have done my head in, but understand why you did it. There’s gonna be a lot of weight with double glazing did you ever think about putting the centre hinge higher up towards the top hinge like you see on fire doors to stop sag ? Will you have enough gap when installing to put hinge block because I noticed the screws were sticking out of frame with lost of grip for screw (hope you know what I mean )Again great job would like to see them installed when you get round to it

They are heavy but I’m not super worried about the weight because they are easily 6 inches in width, smaller then a normal sized door. Just as a lifting gauge they feel about the same as carrying others doors I have around. But I used four hinges on each side just in case. I’m not following what you mention in the second half of the comment.

Really happy to have these done. I do enjoy projects that do not have a definitive deadline because it removes a lot of stress from the job. But, when you are working on things in bits and pieces over the course of a few months, the finishing touches really drag on.
