I once heard a theory that heroin "preserves" a person. As in they basically stop aging while they're on it. Heroin only - no meth, crack, etc. And I think there is something to that. Every person I know, including myself, who was on heroin, looks ten years younger than they are. I bet you also look young for your age.

@@AnthonySal I'm almost 40 & I look mid 20s, my younger brother who's been clean besides alcohol & cigarettes, looks like he could be my uncle. It's kind of amazing how we luck out despite our mistakes.. Also, I hid it from everyone, & unlike most addicts, I NEVER talk about it. Can't stand addicts who bring it up every time they run into old friends

You can always tell when someone is truly in recovery too, cause they know the exact time & place they last used. It's almost unmistakable, depending on drug of choice obviously

Man I would love to see him do stand up and support him in anyway. I relate way too much to the stories about his mom. When you’re a kid and you’ll do anything to get time with your mom. I used to beg my mom when I was like 5 years old to let me be in the room when she’d shoot up just to be with her for like 5 minutes.
