You can't see what's on the screen! You should have illuminated the screen, so we could see what's on it.

How do you turn off the heating schedule so it is only a manual on or off for the systems?

This was a great video for general function of the 6000 model. What does Em Heat mean in the system box and or Auxiliary heat, when these are on the screen ... system is not reacting to controls, does not turn on, can I unplug the thermostat to reset it, I changed the batteries and nothings changed....

What ever happened to the old slide thermometer. I have no air so this is just to much tech for basic heat. I see the lazy part where you don't have to turn this down b4 you leave for work and ……And yeah I get the mercury is dangerous part but......

Mine is stuck at 65 degrees and I even though I am in hold mode and want at 68 it it will not work I got it to work for 5 days as a normal thermostat now its not working again terrific

Thank you, very udnerstandable. What I don't understand is that when I set the thermostat to off in teh System mode, it continues to run all nite without turning off. Whats wrong?

Boy it gets humid in the house. WE live in Texas and will be our first summer. is there any way to control humidity with this system? Thanks!

I may have missed it, but this unit has a backlight right? My thermostat works but does not light up. So I end up messing around with it in the dark sometimes

pretty sure he said hit hold and it will be no more schedule u can set it to whatever u want and it would stay

How do I stop my Honeywell thermostat from being in a program. I've tried everything and it is still programmed. I want to get rid of the set times and temperature. I want to be able to control my heat.

I hope you were able to resolve your issue, as a new home owner, I’m having issues with my heating system as well, but, if you keep pressing the system button, you will cycle through the settings and the set schedule will be not on display

Does setting a schedule, Vs adjusting the temp manually help yor electric bill? I am gonna try the schedule aspect during the summer months (now) because I am curious. Ty for the tutorial, this seems str8 forward and easy to understand and follow. I live in the Midwest (Nebraska), and contrary to what people think, it can get extremely HOT here. And by the same token, the winter's can be mild and they can be TREACHEROUS.

Not necessarily. You want to set the temp on your A.C system and "forget about it". Your A.C System is essentially a giant dehumidifier, so once its turned on for the warm season it pulls all of the energy it needs during your start up process when its initially cooling the whole home. To save money on electricity, general rule of thumb is to set the thermostat to where you are comfortable and leave it there. When adjusting the temperature up or down, the system pulls more energy.

Hi Paula, Hit system button to change mode to cool. Might have to hit it more than once, just watch for the word cool.

Just hold the fan and temp up button until the screen changes. Then the number on left change it to 27 for heat or 28 for cool by pressing the next button displayed below. After that number on the right is your temp limit.adjust it by temp up and down arrow.hopefully this helps.
