This vegetarian restaurant has been in business for more than a century and is currently run by the fifth-generation owner. Its traditional braised assorted vegetarian snack platter is renowned the world over and constitutes a part of many Hongkongers’ childhood memories, with the sweet and sour gluten puffs being the most popular item among diners. In addition to being a long-time haunt of neighbourhood residents, it also draws crowds from afar. The time-honoured eatery has withstood the test of time thanks to the hard work and persistence of several generations. How will they tackle the challenges of the next 100 years?

Very nice presentation with both English and Chinese Cantonese dialogue. It would be nice to show off some foreigners are enjoying these vegetarian dishes! Most of the customers are the elderly and not too many are below 40s! 🥴

We need to bring HK vegetarian restaurants to the UK. The choice of vegie food in the UK is so bland and unappealing compared to HK vegie food.

@19:42/23:07 Chef is adding Egg. @5:37 You are naming it Shark Fin Soup. @12:58 Chef is using sauce for Sweet and Sour Park. How are you calling it Vegetarian?? Its against Hindu Faith and Belief to have anything sourced from Animals, except their Milk.

These dishes are high in sodium and calories. Don’t expect you will lose weight by eating them. You will probably gain more weight. People allergic to gluten should not consume these foods.
