Good video Ryan. A lot of people will be pleased to see this comparison between the T40 and T38 IE3. Nice to see the yamaha 25hp on the T38 and looked a good match. I have the Tohatsu 20hp as you know. Enjoyed watching. Steve 👍

@@jameser1926 so apparently the seat isn’t good on a t38 because it hasn’t got a flat floor to support it properly! However that could be rectified with a single pce of plywood as a deck! Also you would need the smaller version for a t38 👍

Very helpful video, thanks. We have had the T32 for quite a few years, but have the T40 for this year, which we are yet to use. Have a Tohatsu 15 hp outboard. Where did you get the seat from?

Why didn't you buy a Honda motor? Just ordered my T40 with a BF 15. Are there any problems with the Honda motors? Thanks

Honda motors are fantastic in fact they are my preferred outboard!! However the Honda 25hp is way heavier than my Yamaha f25, lighter trump’s heavier! Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already I appreciate your support 😄

Great video Ive been trying decide what outboard to buy for my t38 Ive always went yamaha currently got yam 25hp 2stroke Cant decide between 4 stroke yam f25 or merc/tohatsu 20hp I dont have a trailer so need put in car Would you say the 20hp be ok for the t38 with 2 adults mostly and occasionally 2 adults 2 kids Or would i be better with the f25 ? Thanks in advance 👍

20 is plenty it will plane 4/5 adults no problem!! Lifting the yam f25 is a killer it’s heavy, the the 20 tohatsu is much lighter so if your in and out the boot of a car I strongly recommend the tohatsu, I personally wouldn’t have a 2 stroke again 👍

Getting a good deal on the yam f25 to good to pass so going for it shall need get to the gym lol if it turns out to much ill trade it on for a 20hp Btw have you tested the wooden floor you made for the t38 on water yet ? It looks good definitely going do that to my t38

Hello again m8 i didn't buy the f25 as you said its 2 heavy i really didn't fancy lifting that in and out car so going for the tohatsu 20hp when u said will plane with 4 adults is that on your t38 or the t40 ?

Hi ferryman. I bought a t40 from a friend. I have a bf8 short shaft from my old boat and a bf20 long shaft from another boat that i am going to sell. Do you think i can rock the long shaft on the t40? 😇

Hello, the long shaft will work however it will give you sub standard performance creating lots of splashing and drag
