And won't ruin the line of a suit. It's refreshing to see a new knife of this type that's slim. I wonder if he deliberately set out to do that.

I don't understand people's whole "too close for comfort" thing with the law, it says 3 inches or less not that it must be under 3 inches, and that also only applies to "the cutting edge of its blade" I can't understand why people need 2.5 inch knives to be safe when 3 inches dead on is perfectly legal and 3 inches is 3 inches it isn't going to measure more if an officer or a judge inspects it lol

I'd really like to see you review the Real Steel Vale. On HH for just shy of £16. Super slim, sturdy sound little blade. Mine just arrived today, I love it!

isn't this one technically illegal as it's assisted opening via the lever?
@UKLegalCarryKnives
@UKLegalCarryKnives Жыл бұрын
As far as I know (not a lawyer of course) assisted specifically means assisted with a spring, this is specifically manual opening imo, assisted knives are of course, totally illegal even to own in private now, the designer cleared these with customs specifically before ordering them in to make sure they didn't violate import laws.

@@UKLegalCarryKnives interesting as when i read up, an assisted opener is any knife that can open with manual force on a lever whether that be a button or lever attached to the blade. Shows how Quirky our laws are. shame because i love the looks of this one.

@@shmiffy24 you should read the actual legislation there's so much misinformation regarding the law and knives in the UK, which is why people are under the impression that the blade in its entirety must be considerably under 3 inches to be legal when the law specifically says 3 inches or less, it also says "the cutting edge of its blade must not exceed 3 inches or 7.62cm) not that the blade itself must be 3 inches or less, and every knife with a 3 inch cutting edge will always have at least 4-6mm behind that edge for a kick but is still perfectly legal. Don't take what any websites or forums tell you just read the legislation to get the actual law and not someone's opinion on that law. And this would never class as a flick or assisted knife as the definition for that is that it is assisted with a spring and operated by a button or lever, this is not. At most they could lump it into the gravity knife section which conveniently has no definition..
