Great review as usual. Thank you. I'm one of those that really hates the weakness of detent knives. Like the Isham Blackstar, this knife looks beautiful but impractical for all but the lightest of tasks. The Hoo V1 is probably the only detent knife I'd consider as at least it has a finger guard...

I think you made a good choice with the clip on this knife. The other one is very good looking as well, but this one looks more like it was made for this particular knife. Nice looking carry piece, buddy. Cheers!

The guys at TBS released a new slip joint called the Badger in ACX380 MoVa Stainless Steel - 2.5mm thick2.8" length blades3.8" length , handle is Super grade Curly Birch, Turkish Walnut or Black Micarta what ever takes yer fancy. Its a very capable knife ....unlike the boar 🐗 it has no half stop but whats a few cuts here and there 😜😜

How well do you feel it measures up against the V1, especially the second run?

It has a far lighter detent, the second run of the v1 actually registered on my spring scale for stiffness! It's more comfortable to deploy because of this as well though.

Off topic Iv just had a lil native slip joint had to take it apart because a bit of metal was still attached to the back spring did all that put it back together and it sounds like the blade stop back spring sounds loose inside giving it a shake, open its fine closed not to much. Did I do something wrong or is it ment to be like that. Thanks
