There were also other Assassin defectors who still kept their hoods, even in the Templars. Such as Duncan Walpole and Vali cel Tradat

Still don’t understand why they didn’t just give us this when all the box art showed it. Easily could have been Shay’s way of mocking the assassins with a rounded black hood while the assassins had the traditional white pointed beaked hoods.

And others templars use the hood like Daniel Cross and Duncan walpole. but i prefer Shay without the hood, looks overdesing with It.
