Since the very first assassin's creed game all the way back in 2007 to the current game thats about to be assassins creed mirage. There’s been a shed load of protagonists. And that's not even counting the spin-offs like Liberation, Freedom Cry, or Chronicles. Ubisoft frequently keeps us wondering about what actually happens to protagonists that we all know and love, but there are also many instances where their outcomes are revealed in the assassin's creed games.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

This video has been getting a lot of recognition recently, and it's a pretty old video. Just two things. - On the syndicate part, I made a mistake. Lydia is Jacob's grandaughter, not daughter. I was tired when I made this video. -Connor died a very sad and lonely death as stated in an abstergo handbook named 'The Sad and Lonely Death of Ratonhnhaké:ton' you can check it out here: 64.media.tumblr.com/1b1dde9a95d863aa26a6a7a40a41dfdc/tumblr_inline_p88ff7FSKU1sbw877_500.jpg

After Black Flag, I sort of checked out on the AC series. But Desmond Miles' death was certainly the saddest for me. He saw all of that past history, saw the future catastrophe, and gave himself up to stop it even though the world continued on and never even noticed. Bummer we never got to see Desmond go on to be a playable modern day assassin in a new game.

I think that was the original intent when 2 and Brotherhood were being developed. The present day segments where you used more and more assassin skills and some of the dev comments in interviews had many convinced that AC3 was going to be a present day only game where Desmond would have been assassin-ing all around New York or some other big city.

I checked out on AC after AC II... That ending was so stupid that it broke my devotion to the series completely. .3. Like... First there was this cool, pretty relatable story with sci-fi elements to it. But then, out of nowhere they mixed in gods and religion of ancient times that really had no place in this story from the get-go. Suddenly it wasn't about the assassins, or the templars anymore... But instead, some kind of plot by gods that are long forgotten. Nothing good can come out of that. xD

If I recall, Ezio's death was actually more heartwarming and bittersweet; the man that sat next to him if I recall was a templar assassin sent to kill Ezio, but when he saw the condition Ezio was in, and during their conversation, he decided to just let him be, knowing that Ezio was passing away anyway, and that it wasn't right to take his life anyway. I believe both him and Ezio realised who each other were in those moments, which adds even more legend to Ezio's life.

What makes Haytham's death so bittersweet is that he actually deeply loved Connor, as is implied in his novel in the form of Assassins Creed Forsaken. He wished to present the journal, which recorded everything from the raid on the Kenway house that resulted in Edward's death all the way to his final battle, to Connor for him to read so that he could understand who his father was and why he became who he was in hopes that one day he might forgive him. He presented the journal as the truth, for his own father Edward never lied to him, and saw fit that he preserve that custom. I wonder what was going on in Haytham's mind as he fought Connor, maybe he was hoping his son would kill him, since he definitely didn't have the heart to kill his own son even if he threatened his own Order. Oh and Connor did read the journal, he even wrote some entries in it, he wrote that he truly didn't understand who his father was up until he found the journal and that he misjudged him, but that it was too late to apologize to him. He even wrote in frustration to Haytham, saying that he has failed him, for he too failed in uniting the Assassins and Templars, but that it didn't matter because he will not give up in realising it.
@jane1975
@jane1975 Ай бұрын
@m1co294: Haytham didn't remove the Assassin's Symbol from his coat either did he, I think he had some respect for the Creed despite not being a member, Connor saw the world in a naive, black and white sense and Haytham wanted to teach him that the world wasn't like that and that a lot of people around him had an agenda, including Achilles whom we all know wanted payback for being crippled by Haytham in Rogue and no I don't think he would have killed Connor either, he was his son after all and heir.

Ezio was just the best character and the game mechanics were so much better like upgrading armor and stuff. Instead of just outfit changes. I miss the mechanic of having to upgrade your gear thru the progression of the game. Now it’s like you make it to a certain point and you just unlock and outfit like that’s no fun. In Rogue, his transition is actually pretty much a no brainer. The Colonial Assassins inadvertently get thousands of Haitians killed through their pursuit of artifacts and then try to and almost succeed in killing Shay. Then he ends up making fast friends and alliances with enemies of the assassins through the family that nursed him back to health. And the Templars prove that their knowledge of the artifacts and how they preserve them would make them the safer option to obtain them. It actually makes a ton of sense why Shay would join the Templars if you play the game with an open mind. Plus every Assassin in that game is an absolute dick to Shay for no reason

I think it's also notable that the main theme of Rogue is how interchangeable the Assassins and Templars really are at the end of the day. While on paper, the Assassins are for personal liberty, in practice, they're every bit as controlling as the Templars they claim to oppose. Like it's literally why you're playing through Shay's memories in canon. Your boss has the pet theory that the Assassins and Templars are fundamentally identical organizations, and Shay is basically the single greatest piece of evidence he has of that fact.

there's more to arno's story than what was said here. he decided to stay in france following the events of dead kings. he rejoined the assassins and worked his way up to master assassin. during this time, he was visited by bernard ruddock, an old acquaintance of elise's who told arno of a chest she used to own, which also contained some letters written by jennifer scott. arno tracked down the chest, which was in the possession of elise's teacher frederick weatherall. ruddock followed arno and revealed that he was working with the british templars and attempted to take the chest for himself, but was killed by elise's teacher. some of elise's friends then offered arno accommodation, with whom he stayed while continuing his work with the assassins. still nothing on how he died, but we do know he did indeed settle down and have a family since he is the ancestor of callum lynch from the movie. i believe the most likely scenario is he died peacefully with his family at his side.

The young man on the bench is a Templar, there to ensure Ezio's death. It's up for debate whether he died of a heart attack like Ubisoft's canon, or whether the young man had a direct hand in it. But you can see that the young man has a Templar cross on his right-arm vambrace and the interaction once Ezio says "I don't think Firenze is your problem" is very suspicious; he grabs Ezio's hand as he struggles. He says "courage, old man" and nods knowingly after a look of realisation washes over Ezio's face. And remember this is animated - it was very intentionally done this way. At the very least it's ambiguous.

A few things I wanted to add in. Desmond is also related to Haytham Kenway, Edward Kenway, and Conner as well. They state, in some of the records you can hack in "Black Flag" how they recovered Desmond's body and had been using his DNA. That's actually why "YOU" are there as a "Game Tester". It's actually Ancestors of Desmond they had managed to extract via his DNA. Also, you went so far as to mention Valhalla and Layla, but didn't describe her Death. Having been given the Staff she goes to investigate Yggdrasil as she is the only that can survive the radiation. After slowing the machine down to stop the overheating of the Earth, she ends up staying with the "Reader", who sounds and looks like Desmond. in order to help with figuring out how to stop the Earth destruction for good. Because Connor is his son and because he sees his younger self in Connor. When Haytham was in his 20s or so, he realised that the Templars and Assassins had the same goals and hoped that they could work together. The older he grew, the more he realised that could not happen. I'm pulling from the Forsaken book (journal of Haytham) and it has been a while since I have read it so I may be wrong on some things.

Ik the series isnt realistic but realistically most of these guys would die in their 30s-40s at the latest with some luck based exceptions. Their line of work and the damage it does to the body would lead to death by natural causes or being bested by a younger templar

Eh, about Shay, his turn wasn't hasty in the traditional sense. Triggering a massive earthquake in Lisbon and your own Grandmaster not taking that in account when finding other sites that would do the same will certainly do that. They might have leaned a bit into Irish stereotypes but Shay was a bit hotheaded and he had to wrangle with a lot of guilt over what happened in Lisbon. I also think he was chafing under Achilles before then as well (been too long since I only played Rogue once). Lisbon was just the final straw. An estimated 12,000 dead final straw. That is a lot of ghosts on Shay's conscience.

I want to die as I live, trying to pass on knowledge and showing my care. In this case, leaving some last words and ordering that apon me feeling my end near, I would order those if any around, to leave the room and only call paramedics an hour later. This is for a simple reason, I have seen death countless times and noticed something cruel. Although not intended or atleast not directly, wishing to be surrounded by loved ones in your end is the most selfish choice possible and the most damaging. Why would I want my spouse or kid or kin to see my end? So everytime they think of me they think "God rest his soul?", to that I say "hell is cold compared to such a thought", I much rather see my end as the dork that loved those close and gave words of wisdom I learned from my many mistakes because I know one thing. My suffering there is temporary as it's soon to end but theirs, their suffering will last a lifetime.

I would honestly love to have another story for Edward telling about his older years leading up to the death. Or some stories about Connor training the next crop of assassins, or even being a mythical folklore after the events that get people fearing him like they did in his fake death.

Here's one little detail about how Connor may've died which is seen in Tablet 5 in the headquarters of Abstergo Entertainment in Assassin's Creed Rogue. In this email from Melanie Lemay, she talks about doing a story about the team up of Connor and George Washington called Washington and the Wolf with George as the main focus, and she says that they can franchise George Washington, but Connor she's unsure of, and the part in the email that caught my eye is when she mentions that she doesn't want to talk about Connor's wife or the way that he died because she considers it a mess. Now to me, that bit is a hint that those two major details about Connor are things that Melanie realizes would ruin Abstergo's image since, yeah, we all know that Abstergo is about spreading lies to portray the Assassins as villains and the Templars as heroes. Other than that, yeah, it's pretty much unknown currently. Speaking of the tablets from Rogue, I think you might like to do a video about them where you talk about each of them individually and see what lore details we can learn from them.

Def need a second game for both Connor and Arno's stories. Would love to have a freshly born America setting with Brotherhood style gameplay elements, recruiting amd training new members again and defending the bases like from revelations (i don't care what anyone says it WAS a fun game mode when it wasn't happening all the time) or could give us a new excuse to have co op missions. Imagine Connor recruits a character that happens to be the character you use for the co op. Anytime you send them out for a mission you play a co op mission with other recruits. The character customization can just be for the robes with minimal facial changes knowing ubisoft.

Shay’s turn to Templar was always dumb to me. One of the main themes of Rogue is that the Assassins and Templars are pretty much interchangeable. They, fundamentally, are both corrupt organizations using their influence to direct humanity down their chosen path. Shay chooses the Templars, not because he aligns with them ideologically, but rather because he sees the Assassins at the time as being the worst of the two options. A belief that is, I'd say, somewhat justified in text, as the Assassins are directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands of innocents over the course of that game.

my theory is that Shay was killed by Arno after the events of Unity and Arno became a master assassin, Arno learned the true details behind his father's death and eventually tracked down Shay and killed him, then he decided to go to the French Brotherhood council and denounce them for their hipocracy, which probably meant that he himself was declared an enemy of the French Brotherhood and he had to go into hiding until one of the council members found him and offered to welcome him back because the other council members had been killed off, likely similar to what Bellec had done because that one council member had seen the truth in Arno denouncing the council, but hadn't gone down the same road that Bellec did.
