My favorite parts included in your tutorials are demonstrations on another person. It gives a better visual than just having to imagine it and figure it out. Thank you😊😊

Yes, I try to do this when I can. Sometimes I am filming without an assistant and I post the video without such demonstrations as it would require another day to finish it.

@@Som001uk Back pain may be a sign of incorrect posture or a weak core. I cannot tell what you are doing wrong unless I see you do a technique. Check out my website - I do a video analysis service where I can tell you in detail, how to correct your technique. Website - donatonardizzi.com.

Thank you for your lessons. I recently resumed after taking sometime off after my 1st degree black belt. There are plenty of fundamentals in your lessons that I really never learned that way. Your courses helped me getting back to my previous level.

I don't find Bandal chagy useful for blocking, but it's very effective for kicking the face at a close range. as always great video Master Nardizzi

Bandal Chagi is not used for attacking. Don't you mean Bakuro Sewo Chagi (Outward Vertical Kick) which looks almost the same but is slightly different. See my lesson on Vertical Kick - Lesson #65. I know what you mean. Bandal Chagi is tricky to block with, but in cases where you hands are being held and you can only block with the legs then it is a good option.

@@DonatoNardizzi Yes, I guess it would be An-Sewo chagi (doing it inwards). To be honest I don't see a difference between bandal and sewo chagy, I don't know what the exact technical differences are supposed to be between them. But I take it from your clarification that bandal is for defense and sewo is for attack. thank you
@DonatoNardizzi

@@Liquidcadmus The main difference is the position of the foot. In Bandal Chagi you turn the foot in more to block the target with the side sole. In Anuro Sewo Chagi you keep the foot more straight so you can hit with the Reverse Footsword. I agree that it is very useful aimed to the head at close range.

@@DonatoNardizzi I think that bandal chagi is very useful for blocking! Its specially for blocking a knife hand! In a way that you can kick away the hand which holds the knife, its a kind of attacking block instead defence passive block because try to kick the knife hand away before the knife hand starts stabbing to you. Fast and effektiv! The attacker cant know that you block with feet. And you can defence your body with hands and arms during that action.

can you tell me, what is turning kick, open kick, and toes kick?
@DonatoNardizzi
@DonatoNardizzi Жыл бұрын
In ITF Taekwon-Do a Turning Kick is what some martial arts call a Roundhouse Kick. We do not have any such kick called open kick or toes kick. However, we do have kicks that can use the toes (if wearing shoes), such as Front Snap Kick and Turning kick.
@RaminRamesh
@RaminRamesh Жыл бұрын
@@DonatoNardizzi That is Twist Kick, not toes kick, which beats with toes. you called it Vertical kick in a video which is done by the top of the foot I think. (outward) and Turning kick is done by a high knee first then turn the leg to the target as there is a desk (ex) in front of attacker. and can be done in 45 degree. and open kick is the hooking kick that some masters call this Open Kick in their club in Afghanistan which is done by the soles of the feet. 😊

What's the actual aplication of this? Since it will never reach a punch. A spear? It's one of those techniques that seem really out of place, more akin to kung fu and stuff.

@Songahm Taekwondo Academy Hard to visualize. There are a lot of weird things going on. 1) if you're in a closed sparring stance, you shouldn't be lifting your legs for locks but using your body weight and arms until you get to the floor (see: judo and jiu jitsu). 2) unless you're doing a flash jump to grab his whole body and drive it down into the armbar, I don't see how you will ever lock with this technique. 3) if it requires a previous hand control, why isn't this included in the Tuls like that? For example in Juche / Ko dang, the first pattern i see this technique in, there's no way you're in a wrist control from the previous technique of ap dung joomuk in kyocha sogi facing at 90º from where you execute this technique. I feel these are attempts at finding a reason for a technique that has none, which is proven when press tested in real sparring situations.

I thought that the hook kick means huriyo chagi?! And the kick you calling hook kick should call piturio chagi.
@DonatoNardizzi
@DonatoNardizzi 3 жыл бұрын
WT and ITF Taekwon-Do use different terminology. I teach ITF Taekwon-Do. Based on the TKD encyclopedia written by GM General Choi, there is no such kick as Hook Kick or Hiruto Chagi. There is however Hooking Kick (Golcho Chagi). ITF also has Bituro Chagi which is Twisting Kick.
