Nice ideas. I likes Raikoshi the most. This also gave me an idea I would love to see you tackle. If the Legendary Beasts were originally Eeveelutions, what would have happened if the other Eeveelutions had been in that tower. If they had perished and been revived, what might they have turned into.

Using Eevee/Eeveelutiona as a base was super clever! Great work!

Those pokemon could very well fit in as past evolutions of Eevee. Like proto-Vaporeon, proto-Flareon, and proto-Jolteon.

Seeing the beta designs and how they're nearly identical to the shadowy silhouettes of the burning tower pokemon makes me think the beta designs ARE the fallen pokemon and since some betas are being reworked and used in new games, we might get that full story

You know with how mythical Pokemon are a thing. It makes sense for the Legendary beasts to have been once three specific mythical which had tragically died. And when Ho-Oh revived them, its power granted them the ability to evolve into Raikou, Entei and Suicune. Which makes sense. As the three could have wished to have been stronger in their final moments before being revived and taking on their new forms.

When you started explaining Enashi's name I was thinking 'original flame' could be meaning new, not as in a new form but new as in, newly created. It's a 'new flame' (or 'new entei') b/c it's a baby. It's new.

I’d have been happier with these designs if any of them matched the silhouettes of the known footage of the legendary beasts pre-transformation

What if the original Entei, Raikou, & Suicune were paradox (ancient versions of the eeveeloutions) like when eevee could naturally evolve to deal with the harsher past, before being domesticated and the having to rely on an elemental stone to evolve

Funfact If gamefreak would ever say that Beasts were indeed Eeveelutions (which imo makes no sense) Literally EVERYONE would ask for remaning eeveelutions as beasts, and when someone would make fan-made Eeveelution, would most likely do Beast as well

I always thought that the 3 were originally a Houndoom-like Pokémon, since they look roughly the same size as the dog-like 'mon, and they look like 3 silhouettes of dogs.

They are all fab, but if I had to choose one it would have to be Raikoshi - so flip-flopping cute! 💛

There are beta Pokémon for gold/silver that are electric and water dogs (houndour covers fire) that could’ve been the original dogs

This was a great way of putting all these things of this trio together, hopefully a legends Johto give us a official version of these Pokemon.

The best thing about a legends Johto game would be the potential of what they could add/change to the lore. A quick example would be what there was another pokemon that got resurrected but was forgotten like the 4th force of nature. Fingers cross that legend becomes its own series

remember.... The Legendary trio are felidae not canid. Same as Eevee and it's eeveeloutions. Eevee is a Fox + Rabbit + Cat as the original artist stated.

I do like the designs but I sort of wish you did a fourth one. Namely a normal type version which was common for all three of them. If I'm not mistaken they got their powers from Lightning that stuck the tower (Raikou), the fire that started (Entei) and the rain that put it out. Maybe a fourth one could have been a common ancestor, which they all originated from, maybe with a name like Inushi (Inu for dog and shi for death), or Kemonoshi/Kemoshi (Kemono being beast since they are called the legendary beasts). Fun concept though

I absolutely adore Raikoshi. The other designs seemed a little busy, but Raikoshi’s is a perfect balance.

These three pre-evolutions of the legendary beast are great! You should try the three pre-evolutions of the legendary birds next.

I like two out of thee of them, but I think Suirashi needs a redesign First off, Raikoshi and Enashi are just adorable and I want to hug them. Raikoshi is my favorite because it seems so playful, mischievous and cuddly (like a playful kitten), but I can see how others would prefer Enashi as it seems more disciplined and stern (like a canine garden). Suirashi may have the body type, but it comes off a a little more pudgy then the other two (I think it's both the cheeks and chest). Next is how it barely resembles Suicune unlike the other two resembles their counterparts (the afore pudginess does not help seeing how slender Suicune's body is). Also while Raikoshi and Enashi seem to show personality, I think Suirashi lacks that; and that piece on it's face may play a part in it. The first thing I would do, is change Suirashi's base color from a pale blue, to a darker blue that resembles Suicune's (the other two managed to get that right). Next I would alter it's pose (if not change it entirely) to make it look more slender and give it a personality to extrude, which might also mean making that faceplate smaller to show more emotion. Other touch up I suggest include making the tail shorter and thinner. Another option if you find trouble making the body too thin would be to give it more fluffy fur, and even give it messy hair like in Suicune's beta design; giving the feel that it got a straight comb over when it transformed into Suicune

Imagine if in a Legends Celebi game, there's a storyline revolving around the Pokémon that become the Beast Trio. It could start with a Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon who like to hang around the Brass Tower. Our player character could wind up protecting them from this trio canine like Pokémon that keep getting into fights with the Eeveelutions. The night of the storm where the tower starts burning down, our player character could go into the tower to save the Eeveelutions and succeeds not caring they're changing history by not letting the 3 perish in the burning tower so Ho-oh can revive them only to hear the cries of the 3 canines they'd protected the Eeveelutions from inside the burning tower. The player character tries to rush back into the tower only for the fire to cause it to collapse preventing the player character from being able to save 3 dog Pokémon. Then Ho-oh would fly in ending the storm and putting out the fires before reviving the 3 fallen Pokémon as Entei, Suicune, and Raikou. 2 of the beasts would depart, but the third one would attack the player in a fury believing they left them in the burning tower to perish forcing you to have to battle it until the beasts flees and now you have to travel the region trying to quell the wrath of the Beast Trio and make them understand you hadn't meant for them to perish in the tower.

These are all just so stinking cute! Now I kind of want to try my hand at smol versions of the trio...

Raikou was always my favorite in Johto; the one I saved my Master Ball for in Johto playthroughs. I can barely contain myself with Raikoshi's design🤩

They could make them evolve with the new move " revival blessing " it would be a sick mechanic if it was during battle only as well so they could go pvp and only unlock their legendary potencial by that condition

The legendary beasts being the eeveelutions is the only explanation for why suicune is water and not ice despite its icy appearance

I think my favorite is Raikoshi (I'm a bit biased because Raikou is my favorite legendary beast!) but the little underbite of Enashi is SO CUTE OH MY GOSH

I remember when they showed the fire silhouettes everyone started to say "oh it was houndour all along, what an upgrade".

My initial impression is that the suffix -rashi could also mean "like" as in Entei like or flame like. Which is probably unintended and I'm not sure if it's even correct but still pretty cool 😎

These designs are SO GOOD. I WISH they were actual Pokémon. This is the direction I wish Pokémon would go in, get a cute starter stage and then get a cool evolution. Instead we get…a motor pokemon

3:50 I hear you that they’re “not confirmed” and frankly it’s more fun to make it an eternal mystery. But when looking at their footprints, the fact that Kimono girls are eevee breeders in the town, and their original designs look EXACTLY like eeveelutions in the ‘97 space world demo, it’s clear that the initial intent was to make them eeveelutions. Just like the inclusion of Lugia, however, I think that changes that happened the following year to the games led to the beasts becoming legendary cats (a lion, a saber tooth, and a leopard), but they didn’t rebuild the whole game from scratch, so a lot of the hints and original evidence still remained, even though the Pokémon themselves changed.

My favoriate is Rikashoi, I mean just look at it, but all of them are really nice

Raikoshi is my favourite of the three. Though I feel the blues on Suirashi being so pastel and pale makes it stand out awkwardly in comparison to the others, so I'd have changed its colour palette to closer match.

A fun fact from Pokemon Colosseum; the legendary beasts have the same ablitities as the original Eevee evolutions as a nod to the theory of the legendary beasts originally being the original Eevee evolutions.

Also for the names, shishi is the Japanese word for lion, which is what the legendary beasts kind of resemble too!

Suirashi looks like a character you'd find in a Spyro game.

Some thoughts from a translator. Nashi means none of the word before so at 1st it sounded like No flames. But that would require a double N. Ashi also means feet. So like Flame feet 炎足 Thought you were going for Atarashii with Suikun (which means new) making a New pun in that one too. I like the Rare pun. Shi is death but also 氏 can be after someone’s name (a bit like san) usually for someone you aren’t close with but know about, like a new reporter, or maybe in this case a mythological beast. Without the U Raiko sounds different btw its like the Ko sound in Cockrell (Ko - Ckrell) not having the U kills the emperor pun but as a new one. Child 子 so like “Thunder Child Death” or “Mr Thunder Child” 雷子死　雷子氏 Also Arashi means Storm. That ties into their legends nicely.

You always put such effort in these videos. In an age of reaction, tier list and challenge videos, you actually create something. I love the names and the artists never cese to amaze me with their prowess and consistency. Pokemon fans are awesome. But tbh, although these are really cool, I would not want need the official versions to go even further, mainly due to the fact that it's too perfect. These three unique Pokemon just happen to stumble in the same place at the same time, die, all be ressurected and all have the makings of legendaries to begin with. It's too perfect. I think, if they make them, they need to give them a more organic origin like a species of a Pokemon that has its own attributes and habits instead of being defined solely by its premonetised future death.

These are cool designs if they were real my head canon would definitely be that the 'Shi are a third tier of Eeveelutions or perhaps a very rare evolution of Eevee when using the stones

As neat as it is to use Japanese terms for the names , it sadly doesn't work too well. Suicune, Entei, and Raikou are actually four syllables instead of two: Su-i-ku-n. E-n-te-i, Ra-i-ko-u, so the syllable logic doesn't work, there are inconsistencies. All of these fake-mon should also have an extra "i" in the name. Sukoshii, Meatarashii, Mezurashii, etc. They're all Japanese adjectives that end in "shii", and as a general rule(with exceptions), these types of adjectives have an extended "i" sound and are spelled as such.

I love this idea I would totally have them as starter Pokémon or maybe a pseudo legendary

I like to think for myself that it was 3 Zygarde 20% form that formed into the legendary beast with its cells. 1 zygarde that became Raikou by forming its cells with the thunder that caused the fire. Another zygarde that became Entei by forming its cells with the fire that was burning down the tower and the last one that became Suicune by forming its cells with the rain

Waiting the entire video for the "Shi" to be brought up, hoping it was for "kid, infant" and to get struck by my foolishness and harshly remember death exists.

This isn't really likely to happen, but what if we get past paradox version of Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon that not only look like these Pokemon, but also like the Legendary Beasts. As I said, that's not very likely, but atleast I find it interesting.

my only problem with the theory that they're new pokemon is where are their species now? Did they go extinct? Were they the last of their kind? Or are they just rare pokemon like starters/gift pokemon which exist in the world but are not catchable in-game anywhere?

Originally the three beast were only one beast, and it looked dual electric/water... Hm, leaves out fire... Who do we know that is a fire type roaring, running liondog? Surely not the 'ledgendary' pokemon? Then, it was changed because they wanted three, thus the Spaceworld sprites. But in that same demo, there was a scrapped two evo line for an electric tiger (Tigrette) offseting our dear 'ledgendary' Arcanine. The two look *strikingly* like Raikou and Entei. I can't for sure call the third Pokemon that died in the fire, if it was lost to time. But there was also a two stage ice type evolution scrapped in that demo (Warwolf).

but we already know raikou origin look, at least we were able too see it at 'pokemons that were cut off' - round tiger one with lightning stripes... probably possible to find something similar for others

Altho I'm not a huge fan of Johto, I think a legends Johto game would be awesome so that we could finally see the stories behind the 3 legendary beasts, along with maybe some backstory with Celebi as well. I think legends Johto or legends Unova should def be the next legends games to happen.
