I hardly ever watch KZfaq videos this long and apparently, looking at the comments, I missed when this original series came out, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED WATCHING EVERY MINUTE OF THIS! It was like waiting for a new show's season to finish so that you can binge the whole thing in one sitting and not having to wait to find out what happens next! Lol. This was so awesome and thank you for putting it together for new-comers like myself. I'm here to stay.

It was a nostalgic feeling to essentially re-watch our journey through Solympia. At some point, I'd like to go back through each episode and copy my Trainer Logs into one document, partially for my own enjoyment of reliving my personal interpretation of the trip, but also in the hopes of one day sending it to you, Toby. Solympia was a great region, filled with wonderful people, amazing locations, and truly interesting Pokemon. In fact, I still have my notecards with my final roster in one of my desk drawers. Soar high, my friend!

ok i finally watched the end of it and i have to say: the way the primordials lore is all tied together with the titans is so cool. the fourth wall break at 3:50:35 scared the absolute life out of me and was both ominous and hilarious at the same time. and the complete evaporation of the fourth wall as lawrence's voice faded into your own was even scarier, it felt like pokemon tempest suddenly became a psychological horror. and the subtle greek mythology references like the laurel wreath on the protagonist's head or odias and animos being parallels of zeus and hades are all wonderful to spot throughout the video.

I am already feeling the nostalgia over this. I remember going along with the team I had. A nice way to kill some time and binge-watching for those that are new or would like to go down memory lane. Edit (9/23/2022) Since I am seeing people post their teams for the region, I figured I would share the team that I used for the first run. The first team I used was Washido, Serrapent, Solympian Togekiss, Tridoom, Snorlax, and Hogolden. I also made teams for the other starters as well. The second team is Minotar, Wolvoar, Xevovle, Solympian Aggron, Solympian Aegislash, and Avalisk. The third team is Chlorodon, Amphiblimp, Pegasear, Whiskurse, Ajawesome, and Embearce.

Yeah... this is my 3rd time watching. (On normal speed may I add) I genuinely enjoy this. It makes me think about my own region, if I were to create one. The editor is awesome too. I'm glad I got to meet em briefly.

I literally watched this entire series a few days ago so it’s cool to see you still think about it. I had some misconceptions on how my team could be built and such at times I’m sure but it was super fun to see the entire series. If this gets made into a real game I can’t wait to enjoy it.

Glad to relive the game :) I love the imagery of a foreigner teaming up with Keoke Keoke, the LAST STAND Pokémon, to show that even "Stormers" can do good and taking down Titaphon. Its typing is perfect.

Wow. I’m a first time viewer of your content. This was fantastic. Solid quality, home-brew story telling with voice acting / immersive explanations. You also present the story in a role play style with stats and leveling information. It really is like you are watching yourself play the game because of all the information given / possible paths to give the illusion of being interactive. I can’t think of any one else making videos like this except possibly d&d podcasts. I know it’s basically creating en entire game for one video but I think you really could be onto something. Especially if you can find a way to put this style of video out quickly. Keep up the good work man, and I hope you can create more videos like this.

This was a Amazing story I'm gald i got to watch it i loved the Roman-Greek roots that were used as inspiration for the characters and pokemon of the region the way the gyms and Elite 4 were set was truly beautiful and how the evil team felt organic to the story and wasn't just some random thing, like they really played a part to events and the postgame was very unique as well

Honestly throughout this whole thing I just envisioned me walking around with an ever growing army of Pokemon physically walking behind me because my character either never learned how to use a PC or just was too determined to beat Cass in the race to become champion XD

My, it's been a hot minute since I heard anything from this. While there were some prominent issues, I do admire the passion you put into the Tempest series. It was fun to revisit this again after so long! Like many, I created a series of comment stories as the series progressed, though I started doing that in Episode 2. Here's my final team! Iota the Chlorodon (Male, Overgrow) Moves: Leaf Blade, Seed Bomb, Stone Edge, Dragon Tail "Extremely confident in his tactical abilities, Iota makes for a great leader. He's also very close to Paragon and treats her and the team like family." Iris the Symorgue (Female, Cursed Body) Moves: Air Slash, Shadow Ball, Fly, Dark Pulse "Iris is quite cautious and curious, always flying around and examining her surroundings. Though quiet, she has a good heart and can sense the will of others." Boiler the Tempherno (Male, Temperature Check) Moves: Flamethrower, Surf, Scald, Dragon Pulse "Boiler has an ego true to his namesake. He's temperamental and therefore easy to anger. But he's incredibly loyal to the team and constantly strives for validation." Fauna the Satyrcorn (Female, Fairy Aura) Moves: Play Rough, Earthquake, High Horsepower, Double Kick "Though she may look cute, Fauna is quite scrappy and energetic. She has a thrill for adventure and go any distance without a care in the world." Xeno the Xevolve (Male, Aftermath) Moves: Lunge, Zen Headbutt, Iron Tail, First Impression "The most mysterious of the bunch, Xeno has incredible battle instincts. While he is unfamiliar with human society, Xeno is still greatly respected by the team." Phosphora the Thundra (Female, Lightning Rod) Moves: Thunderbolt, Dragon Pulse, Focus Blast, Tri Attack "Phosphora is large and in charge. Though her three heads tend to bicker, but they'll come together when the team's in any kind of trouble."

i cannot stop rewatching this! it's by far my favourite fakemon series. the characters are so good, the fakemon are so unique, even the region itself is good! my full team is: poseidon (washido), cerberus (tridoom), brimstone (druidigoyle), artemis (pegasear), concha (kabootops) and zephyr (gryphoon).

Whenever my starter (the water type bird, I forget it’s name) evolves I literally jump out of my seat and scream joyfully “it’s a heron! I have a heron!”. Glad I didn’t watch this in public. Great job Toby, I only wish I was here when it was live. But I was here for lots of the live videos in the series so it’s not a problem.

i just noticed that solympia doesn't have any truly evil characters. crash and mellow are kind of like your nice rivals in a way, animos is just lashing out for what odias did to him (hurt people hurt people) and cass is just misguided and not adjusting well to change. there's no moustache-twirling megalomaniacs, just people who have their reasons and are going about it the wrong way. cass did literally try to murder the protagonist and odias, but i guess pokemon physics work differently because they would NOT have survived falling from that height into the ocean. i keep on coming back to this because it's my favourite fakemon region of all time, and while it's not some literary masterpiece i still love it for what it is. the characters are fun, the pokemon designs are unique, even the region itself is magical. thinking about it now, the history of the region leaves a lot of potential for a legends concept. i love solympia with all of my heart, and i thank you for creating this.

I want a Pokémon game where we play as a young novice professor, fresh out of school and wanting to explore the world… and they/we come across a new region that somehow hasn’t been discovered. The game’s primary mission is completing/creating the Pokédex BEFORE telling the world about the new region, since it is completely devoid of humans except ancient ruins. But beyond the Pokédex, there is also the need to survive. You make all your Pokéballs, you have to make food to heal your Pokémon, and you have to make shelter in a safe area lest a Primeape comes to murder you. There are _some_ recurring Pokémon, mostly birds, sea critters, and some rodents, but nearly the entire cast of ‘mons is brand new

I purposefully waiting for this video with all the parts put together to just binge it and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Great region, fun story! As I watched I imagined my "Pokemon anime" self going through this island. In that final fight against Cass, my team was as follows: *Washido *Aerodent *Chlorodon *Vigeroth *Wimpurr *Thundra I also had an Embearce with me most of the time until I got Thundra (I then put it in the PC), but then also caught Escarcloch and put it in my PC, only using it when necessary. Out of the three starters, Kinfisher was the one I took from the professor and met Twiguana out in the wild (using anime logic of course). I also traveled with Herman and a girl named Nicole, a made-up daughter of Moxie who wants to be a Pokemon Ranger just like her mother. anyways, here were their final teams as well: Nicole: *Brazien *Arachnae *Onix Herman: *Furypin *Zelossos *Gryphoon *Togetic Extra note, Herman didn't have (or rather didn't use/kept hidden) his Zelossos until our Gym Battle to have a surprise up his sleeve, and of course used his Spook-Hoot too, but left one at his Gym and traveled with the other. I had a lot of fun not only seeing what you had, but also thinking up my own spin! (don't know if this'll seem offensive in some way or not, but I truly enjoyed your work!)

MAN I love to see a breakdown of the inspirations of the mons and characters Like I can tell all the gym leaders and such are supposed to be based off of Greek gods but I can't quite tell which ones for all of them And I see a bunch of the inspirations for pokemon as well And the primordials are really cool And the turning of the missingno stuff into actual pokemon is fantastic I was a little iffy at first but I really liked it!

I Absolutely enjoyed this (better than the average pokemon plotline X100) By the end, my team was: Lizalin the chlorodon, Wyver the Avalisk, Restin' the Olympian Slaking, Snappin' the Olympian Aggron, Radagast the yanmage, and finally Wyrm the Olympian Steelix. i had a fun time watching this all

I missed out on seeing Tempest initially, so I did my Team roster here instead :) Pretty beefy team overall; definitely knew Egglectric had to be dope when it evolved since these video-essay region vids rarely do gift pokemon like that! - Chlorodon (Grass Starter :D) - Cyrocks (Caught in Solympia Passage) - Thundra (evolved from the gift Egglectric) - Pegasear (Evolved from a Ponyta caught early-on) - Escarcloch (Caught in the shrine in the forest) - Gryphoon (Caught around the temple in the sky) Realized most of the way through that there's a lot of Ground weakness here so Gryphoon balances it out quite nicely there
