This vintage hand held Hoover cleaner dates from the early 60's and came supplied with a hose and a selection of cleaning tools for all your above the floor cleaning jobs. This example was rather dirty and completely blocked, but you'll see it transformed in this video and demonstrated around the house. "The Hoover Dustette for dustless dusting."

I remember my grandmother having one of these and using it as her main vacuum as she lived in an absolutely tiny flat, she bought a floor tool from a constellation and another wand. served until its 58th year in service. she now owns a SEBO Felix and she is currently 83 but still refuses to let anyone but herself clean 😂

Managed to score one of these in excellent condition with the original box and all the tools for only £41.50!

I would love to see a Dustette big mess test! It would certainly be interesting to see how it handles larger amounts of dirt, maybe even some hard floor cleaning? Keep up the good videos :)

Hi Roger. This model was manufactured between January to June 1956. Enjoy your videos particularly the dustette ones. More please!!! Can you please do a video on how to remove the suppressor on your 2614C? On the earlier models it was in the handle. Looking forward to more dustette videos. Take care

Love these dustettes, my Nan had one! I still have it along with a few others. 😅 managed to get an original box, and a cardboard display stand for the tools. The tools can go sticky over time but if you wash them they are fine. I’ve a few of the first paper bags for these I’ve not used yet too!
