The only problem with using an extension hose is you lose your airflow the longer the path the more resistance. Nope the brushroll on these is always on, pretty common for commercial machines really.

@@Blackheartvacs that's absolutely true... but think about it... you're not trying to put sand deep out of carpet when using an extention hose. With my upright... even the hose on the vacuum legnth combined with the 12 foot hose... there's plenty of airflow for dusting, hard floor, walls, crevice... things like that

@@One-Day-After-Another Yeah I suppose those tasks don't require a ton of it, unless you're trying to use the turn and clean floor brush. I guess I was more thinking things like upholstery and carpeted stairs

@@Blackheartvacs the only thing I changed with the attachments that came with the kit was the floor brush... it friction fitted right on the wand...the hard floor brush that came with the kit was just OK... but I had a better one. I feel plenty of airflow/suction/ even though it's somewhat reduced by the length...but still feels like plenty

Each of them has their strengths I had one of those for a short time period and Found some things I liked and some things I didn't. The length of the hose was something i really didn't like about it. Thanks to vaclab We can see that the kenmore does well with fine dust but just below average on sandy gritty soils. While i've not done much pickup testing I think it's safe to assume that the hushtone is probably better on sandy soil due to it having a higher RPM brushroll. But anyways I think between the two of them I would lean towards the Kenmore for the following reasons. 1. Convenience of the dual motor setup, shut your brushroll off to do hard floors with the flick of a switch. 2. Kenmore O bags are easier to find than hoover CU2. 3 It's lighter in your hand from what i remember. 4. no belt to change. like I said though the hose is pretty short. The replacement parts for Kenmores especially the brushroll. Dunno if this helps in your decision or not but good luck.

Unsure tbh, it's also in storage so i'm unable to check at the time it's not super stretchy so i'd estimate like 8-9' of course i could be wrong. It cleans carpets pretty well as for hard floors it does an acceptable job on them but you'll find yourself needing to adjust it to the right height for hard floor. Still i'd say it does better on hard floors than many other uprights

it's a little spring loaded piece when the vacuum is clogged or it's bag needs changing excess pressure from the bag housing will pull the piece back to tell you it needs something. Check your bag and filters first if those are okay remove the hose hold it straight and look through it to see if it's blocked if it's not there it's either in the wand, short hose leading to the nozzle or the nozzle itself.

I agree, it's definitely a step above the usual big box store vac!

@@Blackheartvacs back a long time ago I had a Sebo/Windsor vacuum and it lasted 20 years before it gave up on me. I really liked that vacuum. Now my 3 vacuums after that one are 2 junk eureka vacuums broke within 2 years and 1 junk shark vacuum lasted 4 years. Now I currently have the hoover hushtone and I'm pretty happy with it.

No, this is a single motor machine. The suction motor drives the brush.

The turbine brush? I got it from a local vacuum shop It was taken off of a Hoover T series that was junked It's part number is 521025000 but generally speaking any tool that fits the classic windtunnel uprights should fit.

I have no idea. Prices have changed since I made the video. I'd just shop around and see what sort of deal you can find.

I'm assuming you're referring to the dial on the nozzle? It's a height adjustment for different carpet lengths

Are you talking about those thin bar lines? There are "guards" on the underside of the nozzle which are typically meant to prevent them from attempting to eat rugs so there is no brush contact on those areas which results in the lines.

Hmm the price on it has risen about 100 I think since I made this but even at like 330 it's still not a bad deal.

I know I could change it at any time i'm just lazy and with so many other machines to use ya know. The machine is designed for commercial use after all and longer cords are an asset in that situation.

This hoover is at least assembled in America. Probably Chinese made parts but to their standards. Chinese manufacturing is actually really good these days anyway.
