Georgie Bray, RSPB Hope Farm's manager, explains the focus over the last few years on biodiversity, soils, water, and ways of reducing the farm's carbon footprint. She talks about hedgerows and the impact they can have on above and below ground biomass, stabilising soil and providing habitats, and the importance of integrating habitats across the field landscape. She explains they have stopped using insecticides and are now looking to reduce fungicide applications, and seeing impacts of that on biodiversity and yields, and are trying to reduce herbicide use.
