I had our fifth baby here at home without any assistance, and while it was a long and unpredictable labor, it went so well and I wouldn't change a thing!

“My contractions were super strong, so I got up and made pancakes” 😂😂 it is so amazing how much strength the Lord gives us mothers and also how much we don’t even realize it I’m 37 weeks and I’m watching this and other home birth videos to prepare myself emotionally and mentally. This is my 9th baby but I need these reminders of our strength our endurance our God given abilities to bring these beautiful babies into the world Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤

Congratulations!! I know for a fact if you had been in the hospital they would have pushed you to get a c-section because you weren’t “progressing” as fast as they thought you should have been. This is just proof that we need to chill out and let our bodies do their thing!! On a different note, I’d love for you to continue to share your knowledge on pregnancy and birth. You are so knowledgeable and there just aren’t a lot of channels out there who can so eloquently talk about these topics. More women need to be empowered and informed in making their own choices when it comes to their labor and delivery.

@@TracieSmithpomeranianI know exactly what you mean I had mine 35+ years ago and it was because they had a time table! 😢. Thankfully my own daughter knows her body well and her and her husband won’t let them do a c-section unless it’s ABSOLUTELY necessary. Her last birth they were pushing towards it and my son inlaw said is this necessary? Can’t we just wait and give it more time? So they did and she gave birth to a gorgeous little granddaughter and in July the next one is on the way and this Grandma is super excited again! What a blessing!! ❤️🥰🍁🙏🏻🇨🇦

Once the water breaks I can understand doctors wanting to go faster because once the water breaks there is risk of infection but until then I just don’t see the rush. That’s why I think women should labor at home for as long as possible because once you go to the hospital they want to put you on a monitor and so on.

I so so admire how unfazed you are at every stage of having a baby. How intune you are with your body and your baby. Im so blown away by your strength of character in not having any interference in your baby's birth. That you allow yourself to be just you and your baby having the experience together. I think it's absolutely beautiful 😊

Congratulations! I never had a baby, but it's clear to me that I don't want to give birth in a hospital-for several reasons. I absolutely admire the amount of confidence you have in this matter. I understand you were a nurse, and it's also your personality type, but it still amazes me how you handle these situations. It is such a natural process and yet society and medical professionals try to convince you that it is a disease you don't know anything about it and you need them to guide you! Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

Congratulations! He's absolutely beautiful! Very interesting birth story! I had my 5th last November! 😊 For any mama's considering drinking castor oil, you don't need to do that! Take a generous handful of it and massage it in circles on your tummy then put a towel over it to keep it from getting messy and reapply as needed every couple hours! Castor oil penetrates deeply and putting it on your tummy like that won't make you have uncontrollable diarrhea

Unassisted birth is dangerous mainly because anything can go wrong even if you don’t think it can and then what?
@katelync2892
@katelync2892 2 ай бұрын
@@nancyfarkas3592 usually people who plan an unassisted birth don’t do so blindly. They educate themselves & their partners on all the variables, how to handle them at home & when to seek medical attention. Most people live close enough to a hospital to get there if needed. But the truth of the matter is, hospitals often cause the many things that go wrong. Undisturbed birth (by an educated person) is safest in my opinion.

What a wonderful story! Back in my day a home birth simply wasn't done. Nursing wasn't even acceptable. I was stubborn and didn't tell anyone I was in labor until my water broke so that I would be left in peace. Unfortunately, I am one who needed urgent medical intervention with serious complications. We must remember that all births are different and not judge one another. I'm so glad you are open and shared your experience with us❣️

It was so cool to hear that you could feel and know that one layer of your sac burst first, to having a triple nuchal cord, to having a cord so long you could use it help deliver the placenta (that awesome tip about the cord is one I’ve never heard before and that’s great info!) Congratulations!!! What a beautiful birth story!! Little Freddie is just adorable!! 🎉 Like the others who have commented, I, too, am in awe of your strength and confidence in childbirth. To me, this is the way childbirth should be. Relaxed, in a quiet, dark room at HOME.... Like, seriously, who can rest/LABOR in a hospital with all the noises and the revolving door of people constantly in/out of your room?? Big props to you for doing things YOUR WAY!! And, if I'm not mistaken, what I think I heard you say is that you acted as your own midwife. Very inspiring! What a calm, brave, supermom you are!! My mother-in-law, who is now almost 80 years old, was born at home, and she weighed 14 lbs. Her Momma delivered her just fine, with no complications.

Congratulations 💙 You are one strong lady having an unassisted home birth, I’m sure your experience in healthcare gave you the confidence in doing so. My baby days are long over ( I’m 57) but had they not been I would totally want to deliver this way. It’s exactly how it’s suppose to be….in a relaxed state of mind, resting, listen to your body and enjoying the experience in a peaceful space. I thought I had done a great job with only 6 hours from beginning to end (in a hospital) with no drugs but you my dear crushed it! Many blessings to you and your beautiful family.

What a beautiful birth story. Congratulations! What a blessing you are so informed and able to do this at home. I had my babies at home with a traditional midwife, and I began training as a traditional midwife. However, my marriage wasn't good, and I knew I had to be able to support myself and 2 kids on my own, so I became an L & D nurse. It is such a mess of interventions in the hospital. Who knows what crazy outcome would have occurred. I retired early due to injuries on the job and I realize how much I missed the natural process of home birthing and following our instincts. Beautiful Blessings to little Freddie and your family 💞

Woooowhoooooo!!!! Happy BIRTH DAY Freddie!!! Congratulations momma on your beautiful birth story and thank you for sharing it. I’m glad you have had the time to rest and relax. Thank you for sharing what you did to get the placenta moving, that’s not something most people would even talk about let alone share but I’m so glad you are open and honest. Because there are lots of us that have no idea how to help another in labour. I have had two children but both were by C-section and I wasn’t awake for either of them. I missed the very beginning of their lives mostly because the first was pushed from the very beginning, the put me on a drip to push my labour and then they broke my water which was a very strange feeling and I would say it was two litres of fluid and the water felt incredibly warm and my stomach decreased a lot as I was laying on my back during that time. That’s amazing that you are able to sleep in bed with your babies! I was always so afraid of rolling on top of them. Welcome to the world Freddie! You have lucked out with an incredible family and I’m sure your siblings will teach you everything they know. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I’ll check out last weeks video. I have a new granddaughter on the way in July this year and I am supporting my daughter in any way I can she has an amazing daughter already and a wonderfully helpful hubby. Hearing you talk about your birth just encourages me even more to birth at home for our other babies. Definitely a different approach for me and my inner circe. I did most of the laboring at home for bb #2 and even though the hospital midwife made me push in bed I was able to move sideways at the last moment and it felt so much more comfortable then on my back as she had instructed.

Absolutely everything about this delivery, With my 6 kids, I had 2 home births & loved them. I think it's so sad the scare that is engrained in women that home birth is dangerous! My opinion..my 2nd was born 3 months early, just what happened to that pregnancy & yes he had to be born in a hospital. The doctors told me to never have anymore babies cause the same thing would happen. My 3rd-6th were all born just fine & again if I new what I know now, I would have done things even more natural with my last 3. I'm so glad your sharing these stories, ladies to know it's ok to do home births like this.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you and your family with this new arrival! You have inspired me greatly, and this seems like the time to "thank you" for it. My husband and I thought we were done having children, with our youngest being eight years old. But, secretly, our 12-year-old daughter had been praying for a baby brother... you should have seen her face when she learned a sibling was coming. I found your positive birth story with baby Ernie, and I felt so deeply that I could have a birth without an epidural. I have always been induced and then went for the epidural. The due date came, and it looked like I needed to be induced again. Instead of starting on Pitocin right away, I was given something to soften the cervix, but before I was given Pitocin, my water broke, and labor kicked in. My husband was so supportive and advocated for me when the nurse kept pushing an epidural. By God's blessing and grace, I delivered a perfect baby boy, our ninth at the age of 46, without an epidural. This was the birth story I have so longed to have, and reading your story helped me believe that it could happen. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I'm so thankful for the experience, and I'm thankful to you for sharing your story and being an encouragement just by being you!
