I was going through a divorce when my daughter was the age to potty train. Very stressful abusive situation... Anyway. She was 3 when she got potty trained. She survived. We survived. It's not the end of the world when you are having stressful life challenges to delay training. She'll get potty trained in time. Please don't worry or stress about it.

Wow, that is too many rewards for one small child. I potty trained my own two girls and all three of my grandchildren. Praise, applause and happiness were the rewards. When accidents happen no disappointment was shown just a little help with clean up.

When they're ready, potty training is easy, she will let you know. 3 is very common. My 2 oldest girls are 13 months apart and potty trained at the same time. Best advice don't make a big deal about it, it's not about being smart, it's truly about being physically ready and all kids are different.

I have to say this brings back memories for me! Our youngest son was like Layla! He could carry a conversation like a miniature adult. He was a big boy and got to the point that diapers were getting too tight. When I told him he wouldn't be able to go to school if he was in diapers he would look at me and say, "I don't care if I go to school in pampers!" Don't worry, you got this!

I'm dying over the camping shopping 🤣 y'all are so cute! I took all 4 of my babies camping and fishing by myself. Put all that expensive stuff back. Take an old 5-6 qt stock pot without plastic handles (or only one & keep that edge off the open fire like i did) take a cast iron skillet or an old metal one. Take a wooden spoon & a spatula & heavy duty tin foil. A big plastic bowl for mixing stuff up & to put wash water in after. An old aluminum coffee pot (check goodwill) to heat up water to add coffee, hot chocolate or tea bags to and a good cooler. You're set on the food thing. Carlin, wool socks darlin. Evan, no one stands up in the tent but the kids. You knee around. Have fun!

I’ve been having some serious falls and had to plead with my husband to put a handrail to the garage! I just am recovering from a concussion and still had to beg. After I hired someone he got on it and it took 20 minutes. It’s been life changing for me! Do it for peace of mind those are steep stairs! Could that baby boy be any cuties or chubbier? He’s just adorable!!!!

Y'all are hilarious when it comes to shopping for camping stuff!!! I got so tickled at Evan taking off the toilet seat!!! Layla is so smart and talks so well. I think it's because y'all communicate with her. I look forward to your post every Saturday!!! Hope the glasses will help your headaches. When I got my first glasses I couldn't believe that I could actually see the leaves on the trees. Have a great week!!!

oh Evan... most people go tent camping between late spring to early fall. while people do go camping the rest of the year they are more experienced. it's easier and a little cheaper equipment wise (less "expensive" stuff) to go camping in the warmer months

Great video! Camping stuff, I've been envolved with Boy Scouts with my husband for nearly 30 years. Instant tent from Walmart (Ozark trail) is the ONLY way will go now. So easy and fast. Sleeping bag. I fought getting one, now I can't be without. Camp stove with a good cast iron skillet. Hot dogs (100% beef, not nasty franks) are great from it. Those flashlights are great for Littles. Part flashlight part glow stick and battery ran. Have fun camping!

I potty trained all 4 of my kiddos (boys and girls) in a couple of days. Plan a couple of days to stay home, put her in a long tshirt and nothing else all day. It’s amazing how it works. I only remember maybe one accident for each of them.

I’ve heard amazing things about the 3 day method of potty training . What I did was just picked a week where there wasn’t a ton of stuff going on . I have lots of water and juice . We read books about the potty Once Upon a Potty for girls , Everyone Poops .I had two daughters 14 months apart . You got this Carlin and a Evan

Totally agree with taking your cue from Layla. When she is ready it will take no effort. Did not use a reward system either. Both my now adult kids ( weird to say that) literally took 3 days and that wad to train me.

My daughter has 7 kids. She put a potty chair in main living area so it’s so accessible throughout the day. No pull-ups, use regular underwear and wear no pants when home.

Layla is so darling and is so sassy and smart when it comes to becoming a big girl going potty. Zade looks so chunky at 7 months old. Soon he will lose some of that baby fat once he starts crawling and walking I'm sure. Wanted to tell you that maybe once you get into the Mayo clinic,maybe have them check for early signs of MS. My aunt has been having issues with her vision recently and went to the eye dr yesterday who told her to go to the ER to get an MRI and the scan found MS in her eyes. She currently is in the hospital getting steroid IV's and seeing a neurologist to find out the next steps with this diagnosis. She has a cousin also with MS and within the last decade has been in a wheelchair because she lost her ability to walk very far without being in pain. It's scary to think that might be my aunt someday. Would appreciate prayers for our family and I'm praying that you Carlin can find out what is going on with your health.

Totally random but when I was pregnant with my first I started to get dizzy and blurred vision etc and black out... When we started to really pay attention it happened most when I was around fluerescent lights. So, grocery stores, schools, church and back then a lot of kitchens had fluerescent lights as well. Just wondering if y'all have noted down the type of lighting going on or if Carlin has tried blue light glasses. I know these things are unlikely to be the "cure" but it's def something to consider if y'all haven't already. I was just reminded of this when I noticed one of my lights is gently flickering. I still get migraines ever since that pregnancy and I'm light sensitive. I can see the lights flicker etc when other people can't and they make me feel really ill. The current one is an LED light from Amazon. It works great but if I can tell it's flickering it tends to be a sign I'm going to start having symptoms, like blurred vision, double vision, trouble focusing and then weakness etc. Praying for answers for y'all!

Yes! I have to wear sunglasses when I shop anywhere because my brain picks up the flicker of fluorescent lights and I get dizzy, have an instant headache, get flushed/hot and sometimes I feel like I'm gonna get sick or pass out. I've even had it cause me to have diarrhea. I had to wear migraine sunglasses for about a year but know wear my regular ones. I do have an enlarged pituitary stalk and a very small aneurysm that I have checked every 2 years but none of the doctors think that's the cause.

@@conniehoksbergen8352 I get the tummy issues on occasion as well. It's like a full body flu just from lights. My MRI and CT etc have all been normal. If I start to feel icky while grocery shopping a Coke will help a little bit so I can get through. It's the only time I end up drinking soda. With how busy Carlin is and with going out to work and shop and vlog lights etc I just wanted to let them know how much lights can really cause! For me, the initial trigger seemed to be pregnancy and it has eased up a ton but it's still an issue, especially when I ovulate. I obviously don't know for certain when Carlin started to have these episodes but with her young kids I venture to guess pregnancy may have played a role in the onset. My oldest is now 20 and I still have issues and like Carlin I've had a billion tests over the years. They've thought everything from MS to Lupus and so on but in the end all the symptoms have lead to migraine diagnosis. I don't wish migraines like this on anyone, but I know drs often look for the more complex things when in reality it's something very simple. For me, birth control pills help with prevention and help to make the symptoms less horrible. It was only when I started to use a period tracker that we figured out that ovulation seemed to be when my symptoms were worse.

@@conniehoksbergen8352 this same thing happens to me and the only thing they’ve found was low sodium so I drink a Gatorade and then I’m fine. But yeah they tested me for Lupus, RA, a bunch of things because I had a seizure. But the light sensitivity started before I had the seizure. It comes and goes. I’ll have months where it doesn’t happen.

We weekend camp several times a year and do a big extended family trip annually that is a week long. The trick to great food is to make stuff at home in advance that reheats well (your favorite chili recipe is a good start). Stuff that will be a few days out freeze. It will slowly defrost in the cooler. Some pre done salad bags, your favorite rolls or cornbread and you are good to go. I've been at it long enough I can get pretty fancy, but work your way up. Soups, stews, entree salads are good to try at first..anything that is easy to reheat or just needs assembly.

Yard sale or thrift shop for camping gear like stoves and things. You's be surprised. You need one burner at least, a cooler, and a few pans. I love my cast iron Dutch oven you can cook a lot in them even bake bread and corn muffins. Start out small and work your way up. A dish pan to wash dishes. When my kids were young we camped a lot. Brought a large pan that everything including the plates and silver ware fit in. All the pots too. Amazon sales a lot of it new. I had it until a few years ago and gave it to someone. Its just my husband and I now so went smaller. Still camp but use a runaway which is like a box made out of wood it is solid. Like a tent on wheels but chuck box is in back. Has a sink and shelves in back. We are getting ready to convert a used cargo trailer into a small camper with kitchen on inside. It is 8 x 10. I can stand in it but husband has to duck a bit. I feel safer in it. Especially if it lightning storms.
