The song is about two lovers who have separated and lived in different content, the girl was thinking her return sooner than they've expected, so the young man is asking her why she is too late, he misses he so much and he would like her to come home and he will lookafter her once she is home. The girl also tried to tell him she is sleepless, heart broken missed him so much but living somewhere far from here have its own struggle and unable to fulfill her dreams however even she is late she will be back home where her love family and country is. This is what it means in general

I love ethiopean people very much,if someone will ask me which countries or people are in my heart ,i will answer with ethipean people,I know that ,they are very kind people ,and they have always awhite heart,they where our nighbour in my country sudan,i saw him,and i knew him ,they always people of peace,and here they are also near to me and to my heart, and they are my best friends,full respect and full greeting from sudaniese person.
