Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Pricing: treviewguru.com/Horizon70AT
Read the full review: www.treadmillreviewguru.com/h...
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill is the most affordable model in Horizon’s Studio Series of treadmills. We’re impressed with how it performs and all the training capabilities it comes with, at an affordable price point.
The Horizon 7.0 is compact and foldable, making it a good option if you’re looking for a treadmill that can be stored. The deck uses a hydraulic assist so you get assistance when lifting and lowering the deck. You can also move it around fairly easily by tipping it back when it’s folded to engage the wheels. The treadmill itself is pretty lightweight at 277 lbs. It’s still substantial though and is really solid and sturdy.
Users up to 325 lbs should get a lot of use out of the 7.0. It has a 3.0 CHP motor that’s quiet and capable of handling light to moderate use. It also adjusts quickly. Horizon makes some of the most quick-adjusting treadmills, and the 7.0 is one of them.
For running, the Horizon 7.0 AT has an ideal deck length. It’s 60” which we’ve found can accommodate most running strides and heights of users. It is 20” wide so the treadmill is compact, but you might want to look into the Horizon 7.8 AT if you want a wider surface for running. The 7.0 AT handles everything from walking all the way up to sprinting and all of our reviewers had plenty of room on the deck.
Horizon also covers the motor and frame with a lifetime warranty which helps to instill confidence in the construction.
As far as the console, it’s simple and straightforward and kind of like a treadmill you’d find in a gym, at least how it functions. The screen is a 7.25” LCD screen and there are 4 LED windows below that to show all of your necessary training metrics. There are built-in workouts and different programmed modes to choose from for guided training. The Horizon will adjust automatically to the preselected speeds/inclines in these models. Plus, there’s a manual mode for you to do your own thing. The 7.0 AT doesn’t require a monthly subscription to access the content.
The console is Bluetooth-enabled to connect to apps like Zwift for training entertainment. You can use the Peloton and iFit Apps for trainer-led content, too. You’ll just need your device to stream. You can also play music and streaming content through the speakers. We do wish the speakers and fan were more powerful but considering all the Horizon 7.0 offers we are really impressed and recommend it for most homes.

Great review! How long is the power cable wall to unit given that as another viewer pointed out use of extension is not recommended?

I notice that the console is not correctly installed on the right side. We easily see a space between the plastic of the console and the right console MAST. I think if you adjust the bolts below, it will fix the shaking issue that you talked about. Careful with the cable connecting the motor to the console when adjusting that part.

This is the one I've pretty much settled on. I liked the 12mph, 15% incline and the 3CHP motor. I'm 5'11" and 210 so I think this would be more than enough.

@@pablolafuente7435 It's actually really good. I havent had any problems with it. It is good up to 12mph. I have taken it up to 8mph myself and ran on it. That's very fast for me though. It doesn't do any shaking. I would definitely recommend it. I have mine in the garage (Not recommended) but it has withstood down to 27 degrees and up to 84 degrees so far this summer. Still perfectly functions. It's from Dick's Sporting Goods and its the Sole F63. It runs about $1000

Really looking for a treadmill, had a golds gym treadmill that lasted 10 plus years, seen this at DSG and I run about 5 days out of the week 4 to 5 miles a day but great review a little disappointed about the fan/Bluetooth speakers

Love your channel, the analysis. I’d love to see you add to the reviews re: manufacturers honouring their warranties, customer service ratings and customers feedback. On a side note, with iFit and Peletron judges banning US fitness broadcasts, what are these companies doing now?
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru Жыл бұрын
Thank you for that feedback! We'll see what we can do to incorporate some of that information into our reviews. We haven't heard of any specific plans from either of the brands on the current situation. We expect them find a work around very soon but unfortunately we don't have any updates at the moment.

I've been beating my brains out between the 7.0 and the F63. My first like on the 7.0 is the two speed control handles right there in front of you. No reaching far forwards to find buttons to push. My second like is more recent. I like using the four LED windows to display some of the information of your run rather than cramming everything up on the LCD screen. It just seems like the 7.0 console is easier to read and understand than the F63 console. Another like with those two speed control handles is if you do want to make an adjustment on the console, you can hold on to one handle to steady and balance yourself while reaching with the other hand to push a button.

Great review! Do you guys have other recommended options for iFit/Peloton enabled treadmills that are affordable like this?
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I would check out other treadmills from Horizon like the Horizon T101, and Sole Treadmills like the Sole F63 and F80. With these treadmills, you can stream iFit and Peloton from your device while using them. For iFit-enabled treadmills that you can stream directly from the screen, I'd check out ProForm treadmills like the Carbon Series models that are more budget-friendly. Let us know if you have any other questions!

How do you classify "a lot of training?" Do you have a range that you'd recommend for this treadmill? That's the only thing I'm wondering about with the very helpful reviews you provide! When I'm in a training cycle, I run 4x/20 miles week but try to get outside as much as I can depending on the weather but I live in Canada so during the winter and spring, I get a lot of use out of the treadmill but it might not be a lot for a more serious runner.

I'd consider 10+ miles per day a lot of training and for that, I would recommend checking out the Horizon 7.4 AT and 7.8 AT Treadmills. For 20 miles per week, the Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill should be great. Let us know if you have any more questions!

I was considering this, thanks for your review. I’m looking at buying it from Dicks Sporting Goods. So it’s durable enough for maybe 3 times a week? I’m only 6’1 220. I do like to run, I just want to make sure I’m not going to kill the motor.

warranty should say "Lifetime warranty on defects" - misleading to simply state lifetime warranty on the motor, when in fact it only covers defects, not wear and tear.

I bought this treadmill based mainly on this and other positive reviews. After setting it up and everything working the next morning my unit turns on but the track wont move. Support says the motor is 4-6 weeks backordered for a new one. Beware you might spend 1k on a treadmill that collects dust before you can use it. Not happy.

The machine stops working since yesterday and the customer service told me that's caused by using a power extension cord........ This is the first time I heard a running machine can not be used with extension cord. A super clear signal their machine has very bad quality. By the way, there tech support team never answer the call. You will need to contact their sales to get tech support.

Did tech support suggest using a multi-prong power strip to avoid this issue? What about a heavy duty extension cord like those used with lawn care equipment?
