I was having kind of a horrible day today. I took a few minutes to watch this video and it turned the horrible day around, completely. Everything at Versailles is inexpressibly beautiful however, there is something about the clocks of Versailles, their changeless beauty, their invariability, their steadfastness to the canons that make up our World that is restorative, healing to the soul. Thank you for sharing this small, but very important portion, of Versailles history with us.

So the english subtitles are not correct for this video. They're talking about scenery and staging in a theater deffintly not about clocks.

Ces gardes-temps on traversés maintes époques et ceux qui les restaurent et les entretiennent vivent au rythme d'un temps hors du temps de la vie moderne. Ils y passent le temps qu'il faut, c'est tout, c'est leur luxe donner du temps au temps.

The subtitles are incorrect. The subtitle that is displayed in this video, is part of the queens theater video.

"Nous sommes des passeurs". C'est si vrai, et pas seulement les horlogers. Les hommes politiques aussi, encore faudrait-il qu'ils s'en souviennent... Sinon, elle utilise son téléphone portable pour mettre les horloges à l'heure. C'est dommage. Pourquoi ne pas travailler comme à l'époque pour maintenir le savoir-faire ?
