£76.95 for a dummy! £326 for a set of powercars, but £76.95 just for the dummy, the prices are crazy hey! It’s not perfect. Paint imperfections and possibly fleet number issue still looking to see if it’s wrong!

I flagged it. Not good enough. I believe the engine roof is for a later MTU version and what's with the see through radiator? It did have two numbers on one side, but no wavey canrail stripe above windscreen.

Thank you for your comment. I do believe the roof vents are correct I’m not too sure would have to check my other models of that era! Later MTU ones were round shaped! Why they make it see through I do not no, was of money as the motored car isn’t! I only got it so I could run it with the Class 91 eventually coming out!

I've got one of these on pre-order. I wonder what price I will be charged. I remember seeing these sets on test on the WCML of all places.

Been looking at some photos just now and it is hard to tell but on 2 of the photos I found it does look like she has 2 sets of number on both sides but this could have only been for a short time hope this helps

Thank you for watching and your input thank you! I found a couple of photos but very hard to tell as photo quality back then wasn’t pristine! It’s an old ball because the others were painted without the high full top yellow front, amazing what they done, the differences between them! Later on the number was then place bigger under the cab window, this is a very early swallow livery for the 91’s :) just always find the history of BR so very much interesting

The side numbers are correctly printed as is the front number being offset. It probably the two things they got right ! HA

Thanks for doing this review. I have a question about the light bleed. Does this model suffer from light bleed when in use? If so, I may take a pass. But if not. I will get one to review myself as I do like this livery.

Good evening! It’s still like a normal class 43 in intercity swallow no light bleed! Enjoy and look forward too seeing it :) subbed you

@@00VirginTrains1 Thanks. You have joined in good time as well mate. The next one from me is for the 29th of this month and then there is the 5th of February for the Cappagh Class 60 which is a decent model but has minor light bleed. Easy fix with some Tamiya Flatt Black paint but should not happen on a £200+ model. Although thanks for giving me the heads up on this model. I just bought one and they are going quick! I will add a driver and some TTS sounds into my example. Also I have an Aprils laugh video coming of a DE860PH coming on the 1st of April as well. All in the name of fun mate. Just to make a note for my videos. All my model train and model bus reviews are scheduled for every Saturday at 8am. I am doing this as to not overload the channel. I cover UK, Irish and American/Canadian trains. Ash.

terrible situation with prices will drive people away

The prices have gone crazy! I’ve just bought the APT the 7 car one for £528, all be it haven’t run it yet but I’ve already heard numerous complaints about it. But I was watching the development on that Hornby documentary and it looks like they take there time with the test model, but with production how do they know what’s coming through? Because the one on telly was fine, although not 14 car, anyway I’m rambling on, just not impressed but I am still stupid enough to buy this stuff 😢

Might be worth more if it defective, I’d keep it coz it might be unique.

Been looking and looking very hard too see from 1988-89 photos but looks like Hornby have done it wrong! But it’s sure unique, will have too see other models!
@johnwyldbore732 жыл бұрын
@@00VirginTrains1 I know that they didn’t have 2 numbers on one side, so your model is definitely unique. It would be interesting to see if anyone else has one like yours.

@@00VirginTrains1 apparently that model is correct, I’ve been asking about and it’s exactly like the original power car. 👍🏻😄

@@johnwyldbore73 awesome glad it’s not a defect, would love to see a picture of the real thing! I wonder why they put two on one side!
